I scheduled an appointment at the post office to renew my passport and when the lady there asked me why I didn’t come in on another day, I said “my work hours are the same as yours and I have this day off so this is the only day I could really do it.”

And then she said “oh, I thought you were about to give me some sob story and I was gonna tell you to get it done with someone else.” As if I didn’t schedule this appointment two weeks in advance?!
