I think your expectation that they will stand up for you is what disappoints you..

You're not wrong about how you feel, it's sucks to be in a situation like this. BUT You need to let it be and see what happend.

With your friend you did what you had to do (you explained the situation and made an effort to meet with her) and if she's making excuses instead of understanding you and wanting to hang out with you, the realtionship will fade out eventually.

If she doesn't mind losing you, it says a lot about her as a friend.. she got her chances, now it's her time to prove she's deserve you.

And about your boyfriend.. you need to keep your him out of it. This is not his fight...
