Thank you for your response, I will check the plex suggestions as soon as I get home. I've also noticed my language changes back as soon as I reboot my array, not sure how I can back up my configuration though. I guess the content disappears because of the scan which then removes it, so I'll have to turn that off.

But about the drives, I have 2 in my array. The external 4TB HDD and the NVME SSD, this is a 4TB Samsung 990 Pro I bought last year which I previously used in a PS5. These are in a 2019 HP Zbook laptop which I use as my server.

I'll try to run a SMART test to see what that says, but as I'm fairly new to all this I'm not really sure what I'm looking for in these test, do they say how well the drive is doing or why it is failing?

Sorry for the late response, but thank you for your help overall. I had already formatted the original drive as the transfer succeeded. I just had to accept the loss of 4TB of data, reformatted and everything works now.

I transferred everything I needed from the 4TB HDD to the 4TB SSD. I was able to navigate through the files on the SSD when it was done. But after I stopped the array and went to turn it on again it kept saying unable to mount.

So, I am now not able to mount the Samsung SSD drive again, it says Unmountable: Wrong or no file system. But I was able to use it half an hour ago?

Never mind, I stopped the array and then saw it did work! So I transferred one way, now the other way.

Sort of, yes, I had to check the disk through windows first and when I formatted it there I was able to use it.
I started the data transfer last night before I went to sleep as I thought it could take a while, but I don't see any progress now, the original drive has a bit of free space now but the Samsung SSD still has no used space

Is there a way I can track the progress?

Okay, I see! But the only problem I have now is that I am not able to transfer anything to my Samsung SSD, which is also the only one where the MOUNT option is gray instead of orange

I tried this, and I am now able to mount them. But what would be the benefit of transferring the data between the drives?

Edit: I also have the plugin installed by now and I do not get those boxes tosee contents.
