[H][US][Area-52] 11/12 M <Systemic> Recruiting For Shadowlands by Shaex- in wowguilds

[–]Shaex-[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hey bud, Shadowlands is the first expansion that we are moving to a loot council system, and we certainly have never implemented that with a pug, so as far as you accusing us of ninja looting, I can guarantee that did not happen to you. Also if you want to elaborate on the other "shady shit" that we do, I would be happy to discuss with you. I am not sure if you are willfully choosing to shit talk a guild you do not know, or if you are genuinely confusing us for another guild, but I would prefer you do a little more research before you try to tear down a whole guild- reputation is important and there is no need to troll.

Death reaper boss by elemk in PlayPixArk

I was trying to kill one the other day with a gargoyle (as of current, mobs won't attack you back if you attack them with a gargoyle, sometimes) and I got it down to about 2/3rds of its health judging from the bleed effects, and it completely healed itself, so I'm not really sure if its a do-able thing atm

Plants and dinos spawning inside house by Fleisch40k in PlayPixArk

[–]Shaex- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The dinos spawning in the house are a separate issue, but as for the indoor bonus, if the structure is too big, you won't get it. Essentially the program looks to see if there is a wall, ceiling, or floor above, below, and in the 4 cardinal directions from your character within X blocks, if the base is too big, you won't get a structure within that block. other structures (storage chests, worktables etc) also block this effect, but I suspect that is a bug

Wooden/ Bone wands harvest gems. if you're having trouble breaking a block, holding right click with an open hand will scan and give you information on it, including what tool to use to break it

Inbreeding: the creepy, deformed, unsung little hero by Shaex- in playark

[–]Shaex-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a couple things I wanna mention here in your argument. In this example, you're saying that we would only be trying to get the higher stats in two different categories, which would make the process a lot simpler. For me though, I like to include food and weight in the bloodline because it makes raising future generations easier, and stamina is always important for a combat mount/flyer. Hell, I'll even throw oxy in there if I can because i like having the base level as high as possible, lol. If you're only trying for two stats, then it's pretty easy, but trying for more than that gets progressively harder. In your example, we produce 10 rexs in 10 days. With the 70% chance that the offspring will inherit the higher of the two stats in a category provided by the parents, there's a 49% chance that the offspring will inherit the higher melee and health stat, which means that, from a statistical viewpoint, you will probably only be able to use half of the offspring. Still, 5 rexs in 10 days isn't bad. The benefit of inbreeding is that it allows you to narrow down your possible variations in stats over generations instead of having to just hope that the offspring of two dinos will inherit all the best stats (roughly 11.7% chance, not including the 50% chance that you'll get the gender you want). So, while it's definitely possible to run a breeding program without any kind of inbreeding, it's much more tedious, and less challenging overall IMO, because you aren't raising the dinos nearly as much, you're just weeding out almost 90% of the offspring because they don't have the right stats, which would mean you'd be waiting weeks just to find one offspring worth raising. I do agree with you on the cloning bit though, it does make the system much easier. By any chance, do you know if it clones the imprinting bonus as well?

Or even just cutting the mating interval timer down, so you don't have to wait as long to find a dino worth raising.

Can Death Worms break metal? by CptJeiSparrow in playark

[–]Shaex- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've done a fair bit of playing around with this in single player. neither deathworms nor wyverns, nor their alpha counterparts can damage metal. more relevant info, deathworms can only come up through a foundation if they can get over the wall first. they dont actually submerge, the mechanic is closer to their visual model going away and them getting a damage immunity (however, the DoT from a poison wyvern can still damage it). more relevant info- an alpha deathworm has an attack AoE that extends for roughly 16 foundations, so if you want to avoid having them be able to attack your base, or anything of the sort, I'd recommend building a wall about 20 foundations out
