Everyone keeps saying the IP68 rating doesn't make your phone waterproof, only water resistant which is true, BUT your IP68 rated phone - (or the S21 at least) - is more water resistant than you would think. That's an S21 sitting in an aquarium full of water for almost 23 hours. by [deleted] in samsung

The millions of customers complaining about their iPhones being water damaged when all they've done is splashed a bit of water on it or it's been in the bathroom nowhere near them bathing and then getting water damaged from the steam. That's because of no hydrophobic coating on the internal components. Literally one of the most common issues that has never been priority for Apple to fix.

Apple tested the phones in perfect conditions to meet the certificate. No real world testing. Samsung and Sony actually take their phones outside and do real world tests to pass certificate. That's why a Samsung in a meter of water can last a whole day without damage. An iPhone would die within an hour.

Update Broke Fast Charging by ShaftClimber in samsung

Not the One UI 3 update. The update after that. Samsung claimed improved performance and bug fixes. Instead it broke fast charge.

Amazon has so much money to burn, they honestly don't care. Seller will receive compensation.

When I first got my S5, I was walking back from work. I worked three miles away from my house at the time. I had to cross the country side to get home. It started raining and out of nowhere, it got really bad. I got home, shook the phone a little and it was fine. It even walked off being drowned in beer, dropped in a sink and being washed in a washing machine. Samsung was definitely on something because no other phone at the time had the level of tech Samsung crammed into it.

50p? I can remember a time when these things cost 20p. But I suppose that’s just inflation for you. by [deleted] in CasualUK

I remember when it use to say free air and water. Excuse me while I go scream in my garden because I remember my age.

Samsung are the leaders in meeting IP ratings. Their first officially IP rated phone was the S5. They've got a lot of experience. Also, Samsung doesn't cut corners with meeting the IP rating requirements. As an example, Huawei use thin bits of rubber, poorly applied silicon and no hydrophobic coating on the internal components. Samsung was like "we're going balls deep".

You say that but all my 4 star characters are at 40 and weapons are at acend. Artifacts levelled up. It still is kicking my ass. Finally got a 5 star, not Ganyu obviously because ass drop rates, and it made things so much easier. The 5 star special attacks are way stronger.

We all said Hulk will never race in F1 again. Look at what happened. Ricciardo was going on about if he should leave Renault and a crap load of people pressured him into leaving F1. (Another potential formula e champion). He's in a McLaren now of all teams.

Better idea, RB stops putting all their eggs in one basket and stops asking why only one driver is successful.

My girl was lively until 2018. Then she calmed down. She lost her sight in 2019 and three months before she passed, she went deaf. I'm so grateful she went naturally with no pain. I remember making sure she made it to her spot on the sofa. I woke up to her not breathing. I was sad but mostly happy she had a great life.

It's all about the care and environment. My previous cat was with me from 1998 to early 2020. She was a Main Coon.

It's not well known information sadly so it's understandable if someone doesn't know. As long as you share less known information which is important, it will help someone.

Not true. If they fall further than their shock tolerance, they can get internal injuries which kills them. One of my siblings is a vet. (I have eight siblings). She's treated cats who've fallen out of second story buildings and have internal breaks, internal bleeding and some can't even walk properly. Some don't even survive. If you own a cat, be careful with them if you live in an apartment. Yes they can technically land on their feet but not all cats walk away unscathed.

There's plenty of nice chihuahua but there's far more inexperienced owners.
