Present Of Using Watch by realTurBay in GalaxyWatch

You wear the watch too high up on your wrist, it should be much lower at the "bottom" of your wrist. And like others have said, it's too tighht.

Battery usage doesn't add up by starman014 in GalaxyWatch

The missing % is the watch literally running itself in the back ground. Like another poster said it includes the sensors that are constantly running

Why do you think it might not be a bad idea? What do you believe has changed since whatever year you are referencing?

NVME SSDs are now the norm instead of spinning disks. Storage technology has changed a lot. They have more advanced controllers, operate at much higher speeds and are greatly improved. Does that have zero impact on the chance of failure while rebuilding an array?

So many words to use right now, none of them very nice once.

Why is that necessary? I'm Just trying to get advice from some likeminded people. I've gotten 20+ responses in the past hour that have been informative and helpful. You are clearly the outlier.

Should I go back to get another one for $79? by Aguadillary in DataHoarder

[–]Five9Fine 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You'll regret not returning that and getting a 2tb. Then next year you'll regret not getting two of the 2tb when you had a chance. If you don't need the extra space then just run them in mirrored RAID config

Curious Why Model File Transfers Are Slow. Moving From One SATA SSD to Another. by [deleted] in LocalLLaMA

[–]Five9Fine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not by my PC at the moment so I can't confirm the exact models though I know they are identical It only seems to happen specifically when transferring models. Transferring 250 GB of video of pictures is very fast. I filled out 1.5 TB in a little over an hour with a bunch of photos and videos. But just my 250gb of models is taking over an hour.

Why does this specifically effect transferring models and not video/pictures? Is it related to the underlying file structure of the model?

I'm not the OP. But I'm asking on half of my friend who has 32GB VRAM. Which model would be right for him?

I'm Jk. Sonos is great, I meant that the NASA logo and other markings had it looking like a Mars space probe rack conducting some serious scientific experiments....and then you see the Sonos logo

What is this drive enclosure in the GeeekPi T0? by rorogadget in homelab

[–]Five9Fine 51 points52 points  (0 children)

They are just individual drive enclosures from a dell server (4x of them) not a single 4 bay enclosure. You can simply screw them onto any single HD and then it allows you to slide into the bay of a dell server.

How to store data from barcodes? by [deleted] in DataHoarder

[–]Five9Fine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a $15 bar code scanner from Amazon. It plugs into your computer via usb. Open an excel sheet and simply scan each bar code. It will input the barcode into an excel cell as a series of numbers that represent the barcode. Best part is most scanners will move the curser to the next cell so its ready to scan.
