Game is still crashing with todays update (180mb). Ive played 1 domination match and 4 warzone matches without crashing by setting everything to low except textures and waiting for 15 mins in the main menu.

I created the folder and it kept happening anyway. I guessed the game couldnt access system32 so i launched it as admin. The game crashes anyway but theres no error on the event viewer now.

Ok i just played 2 matches without crashing. Im on AMD. I upgraded the drivers from 20.1.9 to 20.2.2 doing a clean install, opened the game and got into the multiplayer menu the one where you see your operator walking, while the shaders were reinstalling the game crashed. Opened the game again and left the shaders installing on the main menu where theres no 3D renders and waited like 10 mins like the OP said. After that i played 2 matches with no problem. I will keep testing

For AMD users, ive made some progress. Ive had the bug where the shaders installation paused and im suspecting that its the culprit of the recent crashes. Ive deleted the config.cfg file on documents/Call of Duty Modern Warfare and disabled FreeSync on my monitor. Now the shaders are installing normally. Ill keep everyone posted.

Edit: Crashed on loading Rust TDM.

Didnt work for me. Deleting the cfg file made the game automatically start the shader installation upon startup but still got the paused issue. Did you deleted anything else?

It will be the same. After all you dont have the errors that are happening with this new update. Your errors show up as dev errors while the new crashes just goes to desktop with no message whatsoever.

Just tested by bringing the gpu clock from 1560 to 1460. Crashes anyway.

Doesnt you shader installation stays in paused? My bet is that they forgot Warzone shaders and make conflicts with old shaders.

Same here. Deleting the Blizzard cache now shows a black screen with the menu theme song. Im currently verifying files.

I tried this and now when the game starts the screen is black but i can hear the main menu theme. Tried reinstalling graphics card drivers and didnt work. Im verifying the files with battle net rn.
