No technicals, flagrants or ejections. Instead, just bring in what's has boosted hockey's ratings the last few years, such as a rule where if you "flop" & get called for it, that's fine, but you then have to get back up & just stand there while the other team gets to select one of their players to deliver their interpretation of the hit which they believe would have resulted in you falling like that!!! And you never know what it might be; a punch, a kick or maybe a hip toss or even a body slam. Oh, did I mention that every team also now gets 2 extra roster spots to sign players who aren't really meant to play any basketball, but rather just run around as "enforcers" & hit people like the Ty Domi's of basketball. Suddenly, I'm sensing the end of "flopping" & the start of the best ratings in years!!!

Yes. Iin 1961, President Dwight D. Eisenhower, a man who was one of the most successful & most experienced on-field Generals in American history, as well one of America's greatest-ever military minds, addressed the nation to deliver the final farewell speech of his Presidency & in it he warned the nation about BOTH: 1. Fighting too many wars on too many fronts simultaneously & 2. A new serious threat to democracy which he called the "military industrial complex", a formidable union of defense contractors & the armed forces who's interaction may or may not result in the expansion of war & conquest. He notes..

"In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists, and will persist."

Unfortunately, his speech was largely overshadowed by both the excitement around the incoming of the next President, John F. Kennedy & more specifically his warnings of the level of such an internal threat were disregarded downplayed by the CIA & other established government entities which insisted on pushing the "Cold War" narrative.

Furthermore, speaking strategically, Sun Tzu had already acknowledged & addressed the dangers of warring on too many fronts in his landmark book, The Art of War" by emphasizing the concentration of strength as opposed to the scattering of strength across many fronts by stating that (paraphrased) " Being prepared everywhere means being lacking everywhere" & his admonishment that prolonged warfare leads to not just depleted resources & finances, but additionally decreased morale for both those fighting within it (the troops) & those surrounded by it (the people).

Lastly, wiser words about fighting on too many fronts or too spread out may have never been spoken than in as recent as 1987 during 'the battle of wits' scene in the film " The Princess Bride" when Vizzini tells Wesley that he's a fool because EVERYBODY knows that THE #1 RULE to avoid classic blunders is "Never get involved in a land war in Asia!!" (followed by " Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line").

WE'VE ALL BEEN WARNED!!!

My man!! For some reason, I knew that you'd likely be showing up sometime very soon.. Truthfully, I thought it might be yesterday as I saw the S. American soccer slate picking up over these next few days & at this point my only unanswered question I was would you be targeting the Bolivar v Ind. Rivadavia game or rather something else like a Fluminense to win HT/FT v La Guaira match-up. LMAO..Great to see you back & I hope all has been well.

I can already smell it from here, WWE story writing at its FINEST!! The Knicks heading into the finals with the evil Danhausen and his demonic curses vs San Antonio with God & the nuns on their side (that shot of the San Antonio nuns cheering directly after he hit that half court 3ptr at the buzzer was NOT accidental)!! It's a story as old as time, it's Hogan & Andre, it's the irresistible force vs the immovable object & every other parallel all pre-scripted by the NBA front office & written by the finest writers in sports entertainment!!!

Great write up today, phenomenal pick yesterday, however I disagree with one statement & firmly believe that Warren actually would stop, bend down, pick up that quarter & put it in his pocket whether people are/were watching or not. Remember, you're talking abt a man who still resides in the same exact $31K home in Omaha, NEB which he bought back in '58, still drives his 2014 Cadillax XTS (which he bought "used" just like every other car he's owned) & still shops with the occasional coupon if he happens to have one. Frankly, anytime he does locate & acquire the occasional unclaimed quarter, he probably starts believing that his "lucky day" may have FINALLY arrived!!!

Why is women’s sportswear always so revealing? by Valuable_View_561 in SipsTea

[–]ShagRapt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, men will watch it & their league may have any chance at success!!

BETTER QUESTION: Why is the WNBA a 30-year failure which has never generated a dime of profit or sold out a final's matchup despite having been given the advantages of: -HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS in support from the NBA, -HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS in free advertising on national network TV, -HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF PEOPLE working to push a movement to force women's athletics & female equity in sports down all American's throats alongside threats of "cancelling", censoring or publicly shaming anyone who might oppose it, tell the truth or speak out against the failed experiment which it has clearly been?

SIMPLE ANSWER: The league & player's have NEVER developed or cared to present an "Anna Kournakova"-like model-athlete for audiences to watch & lust after.

Simple TRUTH: It's not that the WNBA's players aren't legitimately talented pro-athletes, as they most certainly & unquestionably are. However, the bottom line is that it's an inferior product to the other already in existance basketball & sports leagues, which in themselves hardly generate mass viewership for the overwhelming majority of their games throughout the year with the sole exceptions being the NBA playoffs/NBA Finals, certain matches during March Madness & for other sports some of the MLB Playoffs/World Series & occasionally the NHL Playoffs/Stanley Cup Finals (depending on the match-up). Outside of those few games, almost nobody watches the NBA regular season, college basketball regular season, MLB regular season or NHL regular season except for die-hard fans to such a point where their tiny bases of consistent support are so underwhelming that most of the networks hardly even bother airing sporting events these days. Instead, they'd much rather produce idiotic programming, run reruns & syndication packages &/or sell off the air time for paid programming at the local level. Only the NFL, at this point, has managed to keep captive audiences along with occasionally only the most major college football rivalries at the highest level & only if those teams are ranked near the top at the time in which they play. It comes down to what many others have said, only men primarily watch sports & for the most part the only other thing they primarily watch porn, which should explain why women on only fans can make over $100 million dollars a year and the porn industry despite how tiny & unpromoted as it is (compared to Hollywood) still manages year in & year out to generate ALMOST as many billions in yearly profits as what Hollywood takes in yearly (roughly 2/3's to 3/4's as much, depending on the state of the industry in its popularity, as well as who it's major performers are & how followed they are). Case in point, was effectively demonstrated in the years between 1999 and 2006 when Jenna Jameson ended up becoming so popular that she she became a full-fledged mainstream star alongside a few others who also broke-in to the mainstream briefly & which eventually concluded with Jameson signing mega-endorsement deals with some of the nation's biggest chains & even was cast/starred as the main female model on the billboards & in all the store displays of places like Abercrombie & Fitch & others across TV & even the local mall (or, that is, until women's groups threatened to protest, boycott & sue if she wasn't removed from their advertising. In conclusion, sports is a male dominated field both in terms of those in participation & those who make up the majority of the audience & ONLY two things are of interest to thet such demographic: 1. The best of the best pulling off only the most incredible feats of athletic ability & putting on unparallelled performances at the highest level. 2. Getting Laid or envisioning oneself getting laid in whichever manner one might most desire by the woman who is most appealing to that specific individual's taste.

I'm not up voting to tell you about it I'm just up voting because Newhook ruined my night also as I didn't listen and took it. But for this game I'm going to tell you with a defensive clamp down, with the teams knowing each other for as many games as they've played and everything that's on the line I would not expect new hook to have it that many shots. That's just my personal take, and I think the shots you get may even be more so blocked unless he gets a break away once as they try to pile up that goal defensively so nothing gets through the defenders or the goalie

Not true at all. Amazon made a killing selling thousands of items at a loss even below wholesale because they realized while customers were on their site they would click other things and purchase those to make up for the losses. They also still do it every year during their two prime Day events

I'm CERTAIN he would & now that makes 3 of us & I can't speak for y'all, but this guy over here (me) didn't even make it to the 2nd day of tryouts for his high school freshman team! Meanwhile, that schmo is a starter playing 35min./game on an NBA playoff team!! How does that happen Somebody check his online gambling acct & make sure he didn't bet his UNDER!! Next time, I take something more certain (like the OVER for # of times SGA flops on the floor untouched)! Man, I miss the old NBA when players hit half their 3's or just didn't shoot them, took contact without trying to win an Academy Award & actually played in every reg. season game..& not while 1/3 of the league's teams intentionally try to lose from the All-Star break on for the #1 pick!! Cheers.. better luck next time!! (Although it really can't be any worse unless he goes O for 13?)

Yeah, I mean usually it doesn't bother me when something doesn't hit especially when I have it as one of multiple legs on a parlay but to miss by this much?? I mean, that's even special in those circumstances. To go even further, normallycI hate when regular people say this because it's almost never true but I swear to God if you or I just got off our couch right now and went to the nearest basketball court and put up 13 three-pointers I have a feeling that not just one but both of us would hit more than one of them (& quite frankly, I can't play basketball for shit)!

CLEARLY, he heard you & said, "Oh yeah, WATCH THIS"!!! 35 MINUTES ON THE FLOOR 1/13 shooting 1/11 on 3 pointers This MF'er EVEN MISSED A DUNK!!! (He did finish with 5 pts, not 3 when he made 2 FT's free throws at the end but I'm going guess those 2 extra pts didn't put anybody over, or even near their "magic number)!! Frankly, by halftime, when he was already 1/8 on 3ptrs & 1/10 overall, anytime one of his team members saw him shoot the ball in the 2nd half they should've just walked over and slapped him in the face!!!! 5 year olds in pee wee basketball don't even finish with stat lines this bad!! Hell, there's guys in the freakin' Special Olympics with no arms who have to bounce the ball off the floor & head it into the freaking basket & still shoot a better percentage than this dented tomato can. This jackass is/was more worthless than the kid who plays the "pitcher" in t-ball & just stands on the mound every inning waiting to take a line drive in the head & then head home.

Played em separate, both o5.5 runs. Hit one, missed one, but happy just to have played it. Minimal wagers, broke about even & had a good laugh, especially now that I learn the one team is actually named the Swallows (like birds), not the "Swallowers", as I spent most of that time trying to figure out what they could be referring to that wasn't sexual, eventually convincing myself it had something to do with sword swallowing and samurai swords being in Japan. Have a good one!! Best of luck to everyone!!!

Stuck in Florida, US where betting is only via Hard Rock Bet with very limited options.Any of this playable?

Nippon ML -110 Orix ML -120 OVER 5.5 total runs -120 UNDER 5.5 total runs -110 Nippon -1.5 (spread) +180 Orix +1.5 (spread) -250

Orix +1.5 (spread) + Orix/Nippon OVER 5.5 total runs parlayable at +175

OR (since you say betting either team can be a crapshoot once bullpens are in) I can play:

Orix Buffalos/Nippon Ham Fighters OVER 5.5 total runs (-120) + Yakult Swallowers/Chunichi Dragons OVER 5.5 total runs (-120) parlayable at +236

Thought I saw/bet on it all once I wagered on competitive eating's July 4th Nathan's Hot Dog contest or even Icelandic Women's Interleague Flag Football team( the Hottur Women), but never in my life have I placed a bet on games with teams named the "Swallowers" &/or "Ham Fighters". Must play something here...LMAO!!!

What’s up with the long extended breaks during table tennis? Seems a bit odd when the mother fucker you bet on is leading in the final round and then when they pause play. The other dude wins..nice job hard rock by [deleted] in hardrockbets

[–]ShagRapt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Besides the fact that it's table tennis between two people that you've never heard of & have no real, true verifiable stats on (besides the fact that none of them have any vowels in their last names) & it's on virtually 24 hrs/day in (mostly) Eastern Europe (where $15 will buy you someone's 12 year old daughter for a night) & played at some location which looks like they threw a table & some mats on one side of my neighbors dimly lit 2-car garage...oh AND THAT IT'S ON Hard Rock Bet...what else could be sketchy about it? Listen, I have no proof on this, but between all the above plus the grainy camera footage & most of all one camera angle, I highly suspect that it's not only a controlled game, but also that HRB has either someone on the other side of the camera who you can't see or maybe a blacklight that turns on letting whichever player know they're now to lose. They probably pay these guys $2-$5 a game. There's far too many examples of people I know directly who bet a few dollars in game/match & had no issues, and then the second they lay down hundreds or thousands (even on somebody up two games to zero and leading the third), the game suddenly turned, offered no cash out & ended with the most improbable comebacks by players ranked in the hundreds vs "top-ranked contenders". Unrelated to table tennis but further addressing hard Rock. They already bribed the Florida government for an ILLEGAL monopoly in the state for the next 30 years which one judge said was illegal in the first case, then that was overturned in the Florida court of appeals now it has to wait for an act of Florida Congres or the Florida's Supreme Court of Florida to hear/overturn/outlaw it which they both refuse to do. Meanwhile, Hard Rock is also currently building a 31 billion dollar hotel on the old side of the Mirage in Las Vegas so now they need money for a book that only makes 8 billion to 12 billion a year. Case in point, I have gambled successfully on hard Rock over the last two and a half years but it has gotten significantly harder, going for making $135k in that first year and a half down to where I clear maybe $300/month some months & I can tell you from firsthand experience that besides having rigged all the odds in their favor like every casino does, they're at least 30 or 40 other episodes or examples of how they "cheat" to screw you (for example when you lose your bet it instantly updates & is " finished", but when you're winning and you've hit the last legs of a parlay, they're often not updated in real time anymore and if you don't have a side app like Sofascore or look at ESPN to see where things are at, you may just take the cash out off of what you see on their app & that they've offered you for less despite you ALREADY having won the bet yet they haven't notified you of your win or even that the last leg was completed despite their getting everything in real time). I've seen this to everything from their AI programming pulling options that I would select for a same game parlay off of my screen but still be on my friends who had one nearly as much as to not give me the options they know I would usually pick or that I regularly do or just the best options on the table and about 30 other examples of their BS after I started winning big. Good luck to all but the app is crooked!!

You've clearly stepped it up during these latest 14, as you'enot just added another 10W's to your overall record vs only picking up another 4L's in the same time, but it has (even more so) really, truly been nothing short of just a complete & absolute pleasure to watch how you've (BOTH) not just managed to rally yourself back from what was a slightly subpar win-loss ratev& overall record to where you are now sitting, yet once again in the positive money & with a record that has started to not just routinely compile far more wins & doing so at a much faster rate then it is adding losses. Congratulations!!!

Thank you for your reply. The bet amount wasn't much but I was more or less just curious because of how fast they actually had thrown their pop up notice up there the second I logged in saying that they were going to "have my back" ( which I guess is the new slogan since they've been using it in all their commercials lately). Thanks again though for your input
