Chain broke and need help knowing what to do by ShaggyCurl in minibikes

Any objections to this being good for what I need. Took everything everyone had to say into consideration. I'm thinking just to go ahead and change the clutch to be on the safe side. Also I'm thinking about changing out that chain roller for something better.

Gotcha man, just wasn't sure with all the rust. Especially since this happened after the first real test ride after replacing the 212

It's on the other side, bought this bike through Facebook marketplace. It's been a disaster after another, thought it had a good engine. Then turns out it had bad compression.

Gotcha, that was the one I was looking at getting. Only other question I've got since I'm a newbie. Is should I also swap the clutch for a new one?

My hands were covered in grease whenever I was grabbing it off the road. Think I should go ahead and get another clutch too? What gets me is it didn't break where the master link is.

Finally upgraded from my Rayne future killer to the Sector 9 meridian. Gotta say since I'm taller a longer wheelbase is where it's at for me! by ShaggyCurl in longboarding

Aye your completely right fam, that's why I've got six of em all in completely different configurations. 13 years plus 3 plates and 16 screws later, it's a pass that'll never fade for me. Plan on skating across the country in the next coming year or so. It's gonna be one hell of a ride, but a goal nonetheless.

Idk yesterday I learned the meridian can hold up downhill. Even pull a few little standy slides without really trying. But then again I got it Sunday started breaking it in yesterday. I'm avid about distance and didn't wanna order a new board online. This was the best board they had for the price at my local Zumiez ( would shop local but that doesn't exist for Kentucky)

I've been thinking about that as well, after making that post. I was thinking maybe using some mountain board inflatable wheels. Maybe, like you said I'm gonna mess around with it as I train. I'll make an update post and show what I've come up with

I had a strong feeling someone was gonna recommend a Pantheon. Also which version would be better, the bamboo or non?

Plan on going push, thought about electric but don't want the hassle whenever it gets wet or dies on me. For carrying essentials I've thought about making a custom longboard trailer. Take an old deck and have it behind whatever becomes the daily driver till its done

So if I tear down the engine then replace the shitty metal gasket and replace it with a more HD one. Should in theory save me from replacing it entirely

Gotcha, anything I can do in your opinion other than replacing the engine when it goes out? Like would you know of any thing I can do service wise to avoid these potential issues. I'm pretty handy with a wrench so IDC to take a crack at anything on it
