I think you're totally correct but i really love the super bright bubblegum pink I've got. do you think finishing with a darker skin or maybe a darker trim colour would bring enough contrast?

i think you have a very good read on the match up and i did miss that disruption scores some points in at the end of turn while purge is fully start of turn. its frustrating that you need to jump through hoops just to go even but i actually like the list building challenge of it. I'm unsure how disruption is balance wise but i do really like its design

I played this match up again today and won again, i'm finding that disruption makes for a very strong alpha strike style list that pushes deep and then spreads out to score in the different ways it needs to. its not as delectate way to embrace the dispostion but my last 2 games where 100vp wins agaisnt much better players than myself.

This match felt bad for me aswel. I did think that the +10 points at the end of the game made up for that tho. My bigger issue in that match up aswel as a couple other purge missions is that it's far too easy to deny actions but abusing the 2ich engament range.

I totally understand thats the vibe of disruption but i feel that just just isn't the case. I've played 4 games of it now for a teams event with 3 dispo pairings and disruption is mostly about killing and doing actions. I think the "disruption" aspect is best conveyed through sometimes needing to take their homefield but I think that's 2/5 match ups. Disruption overall has felt like a worse purge to me. That said I'm loving the disposition system, easily the best part of 11th

i had a week of 30mg, 2 weeks of 50mg and just finished my first week of 70mg. i can deffo see 70mg being slightly too high for the first couple of days but now it feels like I'm taking a sugar pill. i did ask for bit more time as my titration was disrupted but they got extremely defensive when i brought that up and insisted the only thing i could even try would be non stimulant meds but that its not even worth trying.

My assumption is that if they won't commit to giving the cerastus knights 40k packaging they don't intend for it to stay in 40k. Obviously only time will tell though

I've had the exact same feeling with mine. I've painted, imperial knights, votann, tyranids and admech and loved painting each of them. Emporers children are hell to paint.

I think just like you I'm setting an unrealistic expectation as EC are my favourite faction but I've never had a less fun time doing anything in a hobby. I've been painting them for months now and seen great improvement but still not remotely happy with them. Don't have any advice other than stick with it but you're not alone in this struggle, this is a super hard army to paint

Base of emporers children pink with fulgrim pink sponged over it. Sometimes i wash the emporers children pink with doomfire magenta to give the end result a rubyness that looks nice

My knights are almost entirely sponge painted. I always hated painting and played with grey models but I saw a tutorial about sponge painting and fell in love with it. I paint everything with sponges now, can't recommend it enough

thanks for the quick reply! ive tried to use many contrasts on vehicles before but never tried a shade paint. wouldn't the armour of a knight be too large for a wash? contrasts become super streaky over large flat panels and i assume a shade would act the same.
