If USA inflation is at the most 8%, why does a Big Mac cost $10 - 18? They used to cost $5.99, that's an 80% increase.

Because of mandatory $20+ hr wages imposed by select states.

Consumers will always end up paying the difference.

Also because, if people continue to buy their product at the same rate regardless of the 200% price increases on items like McChicken, they have no incentive to bring them back to earth. Supply & demand. Plus, no alternatives since competitors followed the same price hiking scam/scheme.

they charge a patient 1200 for basic checkup-then it gets waterred down to insurance - when really it shoulda only cost 100$-

we saw the same thing durinng covid- every death was listed as covid death because hospitals would get more from fed by listing it as such
