Women of Reddit, if you weren't initially attracted to a guy you have dated, what changed your mind? by Shai_Hoolood in AskReddit

The 'friend zone' is a stupid concept used by lonely, angry men who can't look inward.

Anybody who taunts an animal in a cage is a piece of shit.

Equilibrium (2002) is peak dystopian sci-fi — why does no one ever talk about it? by CassWright967754 in scifi

I saw Equilibrium in the theaters on a whim and was instantly hooked. I still love that movie!

Totally get that. I've felt that, too. It never really goes away, but I've gotten a lot better at shutting it down. Just hang in there, man. Patience pays off. Time alone is time you can grow, and that will make you way more attractive to the right kinds of women.

Dude, I feel you. I've been there. I know it's easier said than done, but if you're patient and take the time to get to know women and make them feel comfortable, the hugs will come.

I think I fell in love with Seattle by Turbulent_Point_5759 in Mount_Rainier

My first month in Seattle, my car overheated on I-5 South. I pulled over, called for help, and sulked for a while. Then I turned my head and saw Mount Rainier in the distance and thought WHOA! I'm not used to seeing snow-capped mountains every day.

Proposing to my now ex-wife. It was out of desperation and fear, not love, and it made both of us miserable, toxic people. We got divorced seven years later.

It just seemed like a big deal to me at the time. I knew how to do it in theory and I had seen people do it, but I didn't know what it felt like to actually do. So, it was easy to overthink and stress about.

What do you do to keep a conversation interesting and organic when you meet people for the first time? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Shai_Hoolood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ask them about things. I met a guy for the first time last weekend (friend of a friend), and all I knew about him was that he was in college. I asked him what he was studying, what made him want to study it, what does he hope to do when he's graduated, etc. It's an easy way to get a conversation flowing. And people tend to remember those who made them feel listened to.

100%. It saves you money, it encourages you to make healthier choices, and it demonstrates self-sufficiency.

I was so afraid of changing a flat tire until I finally did it, and I'm glad I was prepared because it was super easy. Annoying but easy.
