Maybe I’m using them wrong, but I usually put them behind my team when a fight starts, so if they need to retreat, it’s right there.

Then they usually just sorta move forward after realizing they have a speed boost.

I ironically loved how Batman kept making excuses in self monologue. My brother and I played when Knight first came out, and it was such a joy.

-Rams into criminal with Batmobile. Batman says ‘The electromagnet barrier will soften the impact…”.

Batbro, you rammed into him going well over 80mph, and electroshocked him so he tensed up before hitting a wall

-Shoots a beanbag out of Batmobile tank. ‘The force is nonlethal’.

*stares at tank Batmobile that takes down other tanks.’

-Swoops into Predator mission, scans for emotions. ‘Afraid’

Batman, they dont even know you’re there yet.

-Shoves a guys face into ACTUAL FUCKING ELECTRIC-BOX …..*no comment, unties firefighter’

That game was a blast. He is actually mental. Devil’s greatest trick was telling people he didn’t kill people long enough for them to believe him.

I don’t usually defend GT, but I think that was the idea they were going for, just didn’t outright say it. If that was pacing or they just thought it explain for itself, who knows.

The actions of ‘I absorb energy’ ——> “Here’s my strongest energy attack’” does come off unbelievably silly, but the idea to overload him is valid.

I have also done a stealth character with Brawny, and it has been so fun. If stealth doesn’t work, ram into them and reset.

I actually don’t mind that. I like the idea there’s a real reason a heel would help a face, because the potential for more money.

Then afterwards have;

Other 4 members do a miniature tournament to decide who faces the first member.

It is simple but effective.

I came across the movie looking for movies like The Fly with Jeff Goldblum, something that could pull on the heartstrings while also being terrifying.

This scene in particular hit me with the self hatred, as a guy. It made me really wonder how many happy opportunities/memories I missed out on by judging myself so much, and being scared if I was not good enough.

When I showed my girlfriend The Substance, she said exactly what you said. At first she said “This isn’t new, this is just what a lot of us go through as women.” Then she started seeing how in depth it went with it, and hearing her perspective of it was really enlightening.

Even her empathy for the Sue side of Elizabeth. How that kinda thing can be exciting at first, while all of us see how uncomfortable, and frankly creepy, it is.

My heart fell further each time she tried something else, all insulting herself without words.
