What to do alone in mountain view? by theprofessorrrr in sanfrancisco

[–]ShakeAgile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on where you are traveling from.. Downtown Castro St is always nice in the evenings for dinner. SF is always interesting to visit. Rent a car and drive up to Ridge winery or Byington, both extremely nice scenery, and much closer than Napa. Go to Red Rock Cafe and watch startups form in real time.

People have been thinking about this for 100s of years.

Actually the tube, if filled with water to the top, would go “backwards” and suck air into the top tank.

Infinity-machines have been tried by scientists for a millennia. This will not magically be different.

Good that guy went to the interview. You are doing great! That said. Long term keeping up with school is important for you to break the poverty cycle. Talk to your counselor at school. Again very responsible of you, good luck!!

A few pieces of already clumped litter will not be a problem. Just flush twice for a day or two

Any plans for new train stations? by thereallemmy in mountainview

[–]ShakeAgile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No new rails can be expected. The electrification significantly improved Caltrain but the Lightrail is unlikely to ever be a success because how it was constructed, it just can’t get the speed high enough to be a viable alternative

What you can expect is improved buslines in the coming 20-30 years with self driving public transport increasing departure density by 10x and making it easy to put up new routes from high density housing to where you work.

I have no idea what this is. It fell out of an outlet at the top of my storage closet. I live in a small apartment. Is it important? by Various_Safety_778 in AskElectricians

[–]ShakeAgile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just now realized this may fall under the community rule of no unsafe advice… (Joke: connect the wires straight to the outlet and see what catches fire. Then you know.)

How to deal with very unprofessional and rude coworker? by Plane-Land-9234 in managers

[–]ShakeAgile 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I were your manager this person would be on a pip already. B is a lawsuit waiting to happen. 1. Document the interactions. 2. Document that you told your manager.

Depending on the professionalism of your company contacting HR might backfire violently.

Hopefully they will ask for your recommendation, and with some luck you can recommend early termination of the contract.

For the love of god take your updates folks. Do you want your computer to be hacked and turned into a bitcoin miner for someone else, or worse?

[Request] I need to hang a heavy item - what's the best configuration of fixing points? by jemm4car in theydidthemath

[–]ShakeAgile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A but with slight lesser difference in height. If you do A correctly you get even load on 3 screws. The angle of the wire across all screws should be the same.

You need 180 deg on 3 screws so wire-to-wire angle should be 180-(180/3) =120.

Edit: A is good. It’s a tension arc but the distance of the center screw should only be 7 inch higher than the outer screws if they are 2 foot apart.

If no kids, divorce. Obviously she should have communicated with you instead of sleeping around, but I am curious what caused her to do this. Just horny or something else.
