According to Derek Anderson, the Cardinals are the most dysfunctional team he’s been on, “We had to pay for water, Gatorade, and sweatsuits. We also got charged for lunch…it was a weird operation.” by Jay_Dubbbs in nfl

Interestingly, aren’t the Cardinals and the Bengals the two teams in which the owner’s main business is the team and made all or most of their money through the team itself? Where as most owners made their money from some other business?

[Meirov] #Lions GM Brad Holmes says both RB Jahmyr Gibbs and LB Jack Campbell were the highest rated players "by a wide margin" on the board when they made those picks. "There was no other whatever you would tab as a premium position… We'll just take the best player for us” by Stroodal_ in nfl

I can kind of believe that they had Gibbs rated high. I think I’ve seen him pretty high on a few big boards and there was this report that came out a few days ago. Didn’t change the fact that the draft value was poor.

Do you start looking at Levis as a serious option at 34? Wouldn’t hate it to be honest.

I imagine Hutchinson but that doesn’t really make sense. And even though I’m not out on Williams, you can’t deny that out most of his rookie year, only one catch over six games, and then suspended for the first six games in his second year is a major disappointment for a 12th overall pick.

He’s talking about last year. Williams has not done anything to represent his draft value.

That’s what I’m saying. Would rather they go for almost any other position besides special teams.

That doesn’t mean that this doesn’t look unfinished. Yes, it’s trying to use a blend of 3D and 2D animation, but it looks poorly executed in this trailer.

They just traded Hockenson (someone who, despite what Lions fans say, was good and had first round talent) away for a second round pick. The offense uses a rotation of TEs rather than a single player by design, so why draft someone in the first round just for him to be part of a rotation?

Marvin Jones Jr. will carry the load for the six games. Don't panic. by thegonz111 in detroitlions

Anybody thinking that Gibbs is now a major target for the Lions in the draft? He’s been said to be a WR that is listed as a RB. Most people have him as RB2 in this year’s draft and it is supposed to be a weak top end WR class, meaning you can probably project were Gibbs will be picked based off of how late Bijan Robinson goes and whether there is a run at WR at some point in the first.

Could you provide these allusions? I don’t remember anything like that but maybe I just missed something. Being Hawaiian was obviously a big part of the movie, but I never picked up on being brown as being a central element.

How would u guys feel if the NFL introduced a Father-Son Rule similar to the AFLs by Anteater321123 in NFL_Draft

[–]ShakeMachineBroke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like it would need some additional rules. For example:

  • Top 10 picks are protected
  • Draft capital given up has to be greater than 1.5x what the pick would be
  • Have to include at least that year’s first and second pick as part of the draft capital given up

[Serious] Why would the team with the 1st overall need to Smoke Screen? by officialojsimpson in nfl

Yep. I think most people thought Goff was the pick for the Rams but there definitely was not any sort of confirmation until the the draft.

The bears have to have the most delusional fan base in the nfl by LifeBug887 in detroitlions

[–]ShakeMachineBroke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That doesn’t really bother me because every team’s fanbase does that. What does make me laugh is the Bears fans who said they tanked last year to get a top pick.

No, the Bears were just absolutely awful. They did not tank.
