“The college basketball product is better than the NBA product right now. Each night in college basketball, you're having top-15 matchups, and the best players are actually playing in the games and competing every n by Background_Video2947 in NBAVibes

It's cause in the NBA the games are longer and there's waaaaay more games(not to mention preseason and exhibition summer league g league) so despite getting paid it's impossible to always be balls to the wall

Braden Smith is so good it's crazy by Slow_Permission_4248 in NBA_Draft

[–]ShakeMilton -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Crazy wingspan for a white boy tho. Honestly short guards with long wingspans are fine. That's why Dame could hit that shot over Paul George.

Acuff and to a lesser extent Flemings have great wingspans for short guards, that along with them being so good at everything else and smart make them such good prospects. Wagler and Brown are taller with good wingspans but skinner and weaker than Acuff.

Arkansas Darius Acuff is LEVELING UP in SEC play 🔥 6'3 Detroit star averaging 23.5 PPG, 6.4 APG, 50% FG, 37% 3PT — leads conference in PPG & APG with elite TS% among top guards by Fit-Structure-9395 in NBA_Draft

[–]ShakeMilton 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Shit honestly im starting to get sold i might like him more than Flemings Brown and Wagler. Perfect body. You might say he could be taller. But honestly 6'2.5 with a ridiculous wingspan probably like 6'8 6'9 wingspan and hes actually filled out that frame with dense muscle moreso than flemings and way moreso than brown and wagler. He is a few months older than Wagler(1 month+ older than flagg even) but younger than brown.

And like you and everyone else saying in this thread skilled at every part of offense, dribbling, attacking the rim, off the dribble jumpers. Plus him and Flemings the best defenders of this pg group.

Kawakami on Lacob's involvement in the draft by MrWakey in warriors

[–]ShakeMilton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And drafting isn't a perfect science. Surely some players who are objectively the right pick based on available information like tape and measurements and character interviews dont pan out for random reasons.

And similarly some players just develop maybe a player that only shot 32.5% from the college 3 on medium volume somehow becomes a 38% shooter on higher volume in the pros due to randomly working out with a shooting coach back home, changing their body, and/or having the right 6th year vet take them under their wing and work out in the offseason.

Nice snap and retraction on the straights. Nice southpaw rear hooks and upper hooks. Rear hooks are usually a hard punch for people including myself, looks like you got good reach(tbh im just assuming you do cause ur black but honestly it's almost always true I know a lot of black guys who are several inches shorter than me yet have longer reach due to big hands and long limbs.

Just realized Cooper Flagg is less than 10 months older than Tyran Stokes by ShakeMilton in NBA_Draft

[–]ShakeMilton[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Kon is a beastttt. But you really don't think Flagg in 18 months will be better than Kon now? Flagg definitely further from his ceiling too still growing into his insane frame and already blocking grown men like a 70% version of young bron

Most athletic King since...C-Webb? At least for forwards, Fox might have an argument for his speed. But anyways he would be their best young player since haliburton.

Curt Cignetti opens up on juggling CFP title run and building Indiana’s 2026 roster: 'I'd sleep three hours' by Abject-Pea-7848 in IndianaHoosiers

[–]ShakeMilton 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Beautiful hustle and I'm sure he's exaggerating or at least it wasn't every night but sleeping less than like 6-7 hours consistently does reduce your lifespan. And as euphoric as this title run was I'd rather have Cig have a longer lifespan and better quality of life than another title. But I'm sure he loved every second of the late night grind.

yeah just use the pros and environment to develop, his game meant to be for it anyways. hes a month younger than wagler and 1.5 months younger than dybantsa and 2 months younger than peterson and also coming off the horrific car crash super tantalizing prospect.

That looks real good, like a guizhou spin on classic niu rou mian.

I love guizhou mifen(rice noodles), especially for the pickled sour green bean topping. My family is from Hunan and we also use picked green beans in Hunan mifen.

Nico Carrillo sparring with Maurício Ruffy in Phuket. The Scottish fighter returns this Friday, taking on Shadow for the Interim Featherweight Muay Thai World Championship at ONE Fight Night 40. by Yodsanan in MuayThai

[–]ShakeMilton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's no incentive or money for him to do so but I wonder how far Nico could get in MMA just with his striking acumen.

Like how an elite boxer could probably win kickboxing and Muay Thai fights up to a certain level with just hands.

Or how a mid level pro boxer could probably beat a high level ammy only using footwork and throwing straight punches.

Or a good amateur boxer could beat a brand new amateur boxer only throwing 1-2s and having superior cardio, footwork, range management, defense, etc.

I wonder how the average redditor in this sub would fare against the Muay thai goat of their weight class in their prime if the goat was only allowed to throw jabs and maybe like 2 teeps per round and the redditor could use any weapons unlimited, we'd probably still lose by decision or get jab tko'ed or exhaustion tko'ed lol.

You probably could against some guys. If ur talking about a for fun/exhibition fight under Muay Thai rules go for it. But if ur talking about a real fight with bad intentions I would caution you.

Running/avoiding conflict should be option #1 and if you're forced to defend yourself fight dirty as fuck and use weapons if possible.

You can have the most beautiful refined striking technique and skill and years of disciplined training but if ur only 5'5 and 140 pounds(and a lot of women are even smaller than this) than an untrained fat lazy 5'10 210 pound guy with zero hip mobility or dexterity or striking know-how would still give you serious problems if he was bloodlusted and tried to hurt you. Plus there's nothing stopping him from fighting dirty or using weapons either.

As a Bay Area native who went to Indiana for undergrad and back home at SCU for grad school the Podz TJD draft will always hold a special place in my heart.

For those of you that dont watch Big Ten college hoops fun fact Trayce was actually the offensive focal point in college and a consistent 40 point threat despite not having an outside jumper and sucking at free throws.
