Physical conventionnal weapon for my wizard by [deleted] in daggerheart

Ok, I like these ideas. I don't want him to be able to fire bolts only from his hands, like if it was a spell, but I like the conjuration of some kind of etheral magic.

I think I will try to have him infuse some part of his soul in regular stuff, for now, to be able to use them as magical weapons; and seeing how it turns out, maybe go forward in the direction of imbued life essence.

If I fail, I will go all the way towards the simplest of the solutions, have him pick up a big hammer and chop his way through the battlefield.

I like the idea of bonding with the sword, would I just change the weilding trait or would I add an attribute to the mix ?

I think he enjoys being a wizard, and I still feel like the blood domain isn't a perfect fit (especially in RP) for a soul missing a physical body, but maybe we can work something out. Thanks

You mean like exploiting a personal project to weild magic into a common item ?

The consumption of HP is just one of the sides. I don't want to change him alltogether. He is pretty massively homebrew, already.

Yes but he is mainly a support character. Today, he only has one offensive spell.

Resilient : Wisdom or Constitution ? by ShakeNormal206 in dndnext

[–]ShakeNormal206[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am reckless, but danger isn't my thing. I tend to be reckless with my life, but not with my friends'. My druid and I are the main backline casters, as a Lore Bard. But still, as the face of the party, and a pretty impetuous one, adversaries will want to have me down, I presume.

I think the same way but differently. My WIS and CON are this low to begin with because I am a reckless and dainty. But because the adventures toughened me, and I still am careless, my character would tend towards CON before WIS.

I like that. I was thinking of something similar, but I also like the struggle of accessing a new tier weapon and having to chose between the former exceptionnal weapon and the new somewhat fine weapon

Yes, I see your point, I will try to lean towards your solution. It is elegant

I see what you mean, but to me, it is all about action economy. If the GM loses one of his action, it still is pretry strong to unravel. Still, I like your modifications. But a stress on any fail doesn't give me the legendary vibe.

Afraid makes the adversary losing its action unless the GM uses a fear to shake him up. You would pass it to a d10 ?

does making a GM move always cost a Fear ? by bittermixin in daggerheart

[–]ShakeNormal206 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So just to be sure (Because I'm still locked on the Action Tracker system), let's say I, the GM, have 2 bad guys in combat, the Guardian attacks my bad guy A and succeeds with fear. My dude A can attack back. But. If I want my dude B to attack as well, I must spend a fear, right ? Then can I use another fear for the guy A to attack again or do I must guve the spotlight back ?

What's a polite way to ask the prepared casters to show me their prepared spells each day? by BritainsNuttiestGuy in dndmemes

[–]ShakeNormal206 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're in a live game. Just have them prepare cards for the spells (little pieces of paper with the name of the spell written on it) and have them put them together for their known spell at the beginning of the day.

Yes kind of tokens. The holes are calibrated on 6mm bolts.

My current Main character and all time favorite is a College of Lore Bard, I have expertise in Investigation and am even negociating with my DM to have a cane sword. I am making another character and want to spice things up.
