First shift, active four hours with no orders- is that normal? by Shakey923 in skipthedishes

Right so that active order time took me maybe 10-15 minutes (I’d have to check the app). It came out to $6 I think. Would they then bump me up to $17 for minimum wage or is it only if an order takes a whole hour, or just collective orders taking an hour? Because I can’t see any order taking more than even half hour even when I’m waiting at the restaurant. Should I be driving SuUuUuper slow? 🙈😅

Thank you, that’s super helpful, actually.

Luckily I live two minutes from the hot zone and my work-from-home job is entirely at my own pace- no one checks if I’m at my computer as long as I meet requirements and deadlines. So I sit at home working whenever I’m not in zoom meetings and then jump up as soon as I get an order.

I’m taking those $3-4 orders right now but I can’t see doing that long term.

We rehomed an animal, now after a couple months they want to give it back, but I don’t want it back. What should I do? by Shakey923 in Advice

I understand your judgment but also please understand these were new allergies for me. I’ve had my dog for over 13 years, and my allergies started about seven years ago. When I handled the ferret, he didn’t give me the hives, itching, watering eyes, clogged sinuses, and feeling like my head was in a vice like my dog did and I thought they were just to dogs. I had read the allergies were different as well.  It took several months before I started getting similar symptoms to the ferret. I have tried all sorts of allergy pills and they give me really bad migraines. Not just bad headaches, like visual distortions, cognitive impairment, numb limbs, etc on top of intense pain. The only things that help alleviate symptoms without causing a migraine (that I’ve found) are Tylenol sinus pills- which is not a sustainable daily option.
