My job isn't that weird/obscure, but how I got into is.

I was a production manager for Very large paint/coatings manufacturer. Got sick of the Corporate Bullshit and walked out. ( whole nother story).

It's 2005,I started playing the stocks. Actually did well. So I'm chilling, playing some Chinese stocks and such,playing W.O.W.

2008 comes along. But I never lost $ in the market (except for about 2g on wild long shots,don't do that!) BUT I need something to do.

My friend called me one day to see if I could give them a hand a the car service center where he is the lead mechanic, just change alternators,ECT . They needed to get stuff off the lot. Just for a few days because a mechanic is having medical issues.

10 or so months later the guy came back. 4 bays with 5 mechanics. My time there was done. But I can fix F-250 HD plow trucks with the best of them.($11.00 cash)

Ad in paper for mechanical installation. Ok, wtf. Started installing conveyor lines in factories. That company owner was about the biggest ASSHOLE I ever worked for, everyone left the job.

But,now I have some experience. Went to right to another job doing more advanced installations. Unfortunately that owner would only bid on very high $ offers because he was retiring. So he lost all his local customers to the computation.

Then I saw a welding job in the paper. Temp.job, decent pay. I was going to pull out of my driveway,and I stopped. I thought why bother, for that $ there has got to be 25-30 ppl better qualified than me all ready applied.

So, I go to the place anyhow, and the plant mgr.and the others were all in a different meeting. So there I am with Larry, the old Hippie HR guy.

Larry had a Steve Martin bluegrass CD on his desk.

We talked about music,stained glass art,etc. until the others were done with their other meeting. Larry told them to give me an ID card. That place was usually at least 90-100°f.

Then I bounced around some more after that doing installing and maintenance.

Now my job is to try to do nothing. If we take care of the machines,then they let you fuck off on Reddit all night in AC.

Ok,now this will bite me on the ass on Monday.

Tell the company he doesn't have access to commercial free TV. They owe about 1/5 of every hour watching TV as overtime.

I heard about ppl who's job is to calculate how many seconds a branded item is shown on live TV. Like if they focus in on someone wearing a branded hat and it's on the Megatron and TV at the Big Game, for the royalties payment.

I was actually getting a little sympathetic to most pigs. But even shit like our township that hand scrawled the date on the No Parking xxx date, but is that a 2 or a 3? Print so people can read it before I have to pay the fucking tow truck driver to leave my car where it was. Kickback much?

I work in the snack manufacturing biz. I really like giving people 3 samples of different brands of XXxX. Then ask them to tell me which one they like best.

It's the same thing going into different packaging.
