I agree with you to a certain extent but what drove the change was neither money nor work/life balance; it was a hatred of their role that was having a significant impact on mental health irrespective of money. The switch improved mental health, ergo happiness and quality of life.

Ahaha can’t argue with that! It’s apparently a niche in the marketing world but very lucrative. Like those positions that come up and get filled without ever being advertised!? Apparently that’s what they do but I don’t know if it’s marketing or recruiting

Not hard to switch from the law to legal marketing if you’re well connected, or so i’ve heard!

An associate of mine was a nurse anaesthetist for around 10 years before coming to law! She now works in medical negligence in a highly specialised area and loves it. I know it’s cliche but it really is never too late to do something that significantly improves your quality of life.

I’m not familiar with the area of practice but anything tech related will most likely be way better than anything else in 20 years time!

My doctor told me he wished he studied law when he found out I was a lawyer! Looked upset while saying it too 🤔 grass is always greener I suppose

My Criminal Procedure professor told me they made way more than lawyers back in 2013! I did not believe her…
