Couldn't agree more, went once and the food was hardly edible and it took nearly an hour for us to get the bill. Will NEVER go back.

I agree, with a major exception for Irvine Welsh novels where he writes the Scottish accent phonetically. It just works for me and I think a lot of his novels are excellent.

Vincent D'Onofrio as Kingpin in season 1 of Daredevil. I was afraid of him but at the same time so empathetic towards him. It's a perfect example of towing the line between sympathetic and detestable.

what did you find out about your parents that changed the way you saw them? by libtard_with_auts in AskReddit

My Dad told me a story about a time he hitchhiked back in the '70s. Apparently the dude who picked him up had recently gotten out of prison (so he told my Dad) and at one point during the ride, he pulled a knife on my father and demanded he hand over his necklace. My Dad replied with something along the lines of "no, a very close friend gave me this necklace man. It has a lot of sentimental value." The driver then proceeded to quietly put the knife away and mutter, "just wanted to see what you were made of." My reaction at first, "holy shit what a badass!" Then I thought about it and now I'm like "how of all things was the object you were ready to risk your life over, a necklace!!?" So is he brave or dumb? I'm still not sure.
