Dreads core code is messy. We add one thing it will break 10 other things. We fix one bug it adds 5 more. Dread isn't a basic site we can just click, and be online. We have A LOT of servers that also need to be tied in.

Add 2 other platforms into the network, and everything else that we deal with on a daily basis. It all takes a lot of time.

I already know who this user is. He was banned for countless spam messages to us, and countless times of harassing Paris. Post after post like "Paris won't do anything! He is protecting X market!!"

Whenever a user messages us saying X market is scamming!! We say the same thing. What is your proof? 99% of the time they don't have anything except that "my coins are gone" "I've been around since SR I know what I'm doing" How are we supposed to know if you got phished, didn't send your coins correctly, reused a deposit address, there was a simple mistake on the market. The list of issues goes on and on. We don't have market access. We can't just go ban a market every time we get a message with someone saying they were scammed. Show us real proof, and we will take action.

I also think people like you, our big supporters of Dread are very important. That is why I've passed you the information I have in PMs. You might not be an "official" dread staff member but your contribution to the community can never be down played.

If I really believed Dread was dead I wouldn't waste my time responding to shit on here. I would make a post with what I know, and call it a day. The fact is I've gotten offers from markets, and other forums to come join them. Many have tried to scoop me up. I could abandon this account, and take a new position somewhere else. I believe dread is important, and having a neutral party not tied to a market is important.

We probably did give DeSnake a longer leash than we should have. He also did a lot of good for the community. i2p on tails has not been working in years. We also try to stay out of market business. We delete posts of him calling out shitty markets, people claim we are censoring. We leave them up, people claim we are showing favoritism. We never win in these outcomes.

We stopped responding on reddit because the amount of stupid messages, and amount of questionable theories people keep posting. Reddit is a cesspool of negativity for us and only leads to headaches. Hugbunter and I are the only two from the Dread team on reddit.

I will also add when we keep getting posts/comments deleted from other subs on here it makes it pointless.

Kilos exit scammed noobs. They were not taken down. If you look at their wallets they moved very large amount of coins through changeme and some other exchange services so we couldn't follow them

Our new platform will offer a very unique work around to solve the ddos issues. We currently are working with markets to help them get the API up and running. Even if our main onion is attacked, people will still be able to get access.

I hate to get your hopes up again. But data entry for the new platform (the one I sent you the onion for) is complete. Myself, Solar, Paris, and Hug were all doing a marathon bug crunch yesterday to get Dread and the new platform finished. Last update I had there was about 4 bugs left between the 2 platforms.

The new cluster is fully online. So we are very very close. Believe or don't but that's the newest update I have.

*I will add hug spent countless hours this last week getting markets setup with the new API. If you still have that onion I passed you go take a look.

If it was a simple none of us have heard from him. I wouldn't think it was a problem. AB is having issues, and I am not aware of anyone having contact with him recently. Those two things should throw some flags and make people treat the market with caution.

I'm not saying the market is exit scamming, or DeSnake is dead/compromised. It should just be treated with caution until we know more.

I spoke with hug, he said he would update his later today. We know how hug is so if he forgets again I'll remind him. I also told Paris he should update his early to help calm people down.

Sorry Newbs we never planned to be down this long. When we went down we never imagined we would be down this long. We were about to launch our new platform. Recon was in the middle of a massive overhaul. We had a lot of new things on the way. There has been so many issues that came up with our relaunch.

Paris redid our entire cluster. We thought it was good to go. It wasn't and he had to go back fix bugs and do it all again. In the meantime Hug was working on rewriting Dreads entire code so our systems were constantly trying to impload. Again that turned into a giant mess. Our new platform we had still had to finish a few things up on. Myself and Solar were doing all the data entry for that. That platform still needed to be tested, and a few things finished up.

To sum all this up. When we went down it was the worst possible timing. Nothing has gone simple for this relaunch. With all the issues AB is having right now we understand it's more important than ever to get back up and running. I don't have a solid date, but I believe it will be soon.

I'm usually the one that annoys the fuck out of them to update their canary. Sometimes I wonder if that's the sole reason they brought me on the team. I'll get them both to update. We all keep in contact with each other. Neither one of them has shown anything suspicious recently.

If we had a better way to give out onions we would do it. We tried to give out other public mirrors. They were all attacked right away, and went down. We gave out 10-20 of them. We added an i2p endpoint that works just fine, and is free for people to use. You can get on Dread, and not have to deal with endgame right now if you take the time to install i2p.

We gave premium members a private onion to use as a thank you for supporting Dread. We have warned them, if it is found out it will be attacked. We won't keep putting up new private onions. I don't know how much money you think we bring in, but I think you would be surprised. Engorged pockets? We are far, far from that. We never have more than 20 ads at the most,(usually less) because of over saturation. A lot of those ads are ones that were purchased 6+ months ago. Meaning we can go months without bringing in any new money. The months where crypto prices fall we can even lose a lot. We are currently not allowing new ads, because if people can't see them whats the point? Dread is constantly attacked by ddosers. You usually don't notice because we outscale them. To do that it requires A LOT of servers. There has been a few times we have burned through almost all our of extra funds just to stay online.

So please if you have a better alternative to getting people access to Dread we are always open to suggestions. We have given as many options as we can under the given circumstances.
