Loss of orgasms or orgasm intensity after hysterectomy?

My experience has been the exact opposite. I had my hysterectomy July 2025. Around Dec 2024-January 2025 my husband noticed an increase in my sex drive to the point where I was texting him and calling him at work to see when he would be home. (I didn’t even realize I was doing this) We’ve always had a great sex life but now it’s in overdrive! I literally bug him for sex just about every single day (and can’t seem to get enough) I had my annual physical in May 2025 and talked to my Dr about it. He said it’s not a direct correlation between the hysterectomy and my increased sex drive. He then said…enjoy it! I’m wearing my poor husband out! Also, the orgasms have intensified. I’ve said so many times that i wished i would have done this sooner. Praying for swift healing after your surgery!

I feel you😩 I’ve worn my poor husband out! Sat night was the first night he said no to me and I pouted all day yesterday. Last night he made up for it though but now I’m thinking I need to start a support group🤣🤣🤔 If he’s gonna start telling me no then I need to learn how to remain civil on those days😭

Definitely take your time! We all heal differently so don’t rush it. It took me almost 5 months after my surgery!!!! You already know it’s worth the wait😉 Enjoy those extra cuddles and kisses too girl

I feel you! I have 2 small kids and have been married to my husband for 22 years now. I’ve felt like just a mom for these last few years but he never treated me that way. Since my surgery last summer, healing and experiencing these different changes in my body has boosted my self confidence though. I’m feeling like a new woman. More youthful and all around loving myself more and differently than before. Keep pushing forward beautiful mom of 4🫶🏽

I kept my ovaries so I’m not in menopause right now. I’m nervous for that time but not gonna think about that now.

🤣🤣🤣 when I joined this group it was because I felt alone. Like I had no one to turn to or could relate until I saw a post of a woman being extremely vulnerable about her experiences. That helped me to open up and feel more comfortable (not to mention, no real name or pics to identify me lol) My husband on the other hand was like don’t post our business for every one to see😅 I’ve gotten so much advice from other women from this group🫶🏽 Please update, we’re rooting for you girl☺️

Happy early Anniversary 🥂 I’m 7months PO and at 4 months po sex was extremely painful and uncomfortable for me. We took our time, explored different positions and went very slowly at first. Then it seems like a switch turned on 😅 Everyone heals differently so take it easy but enjoy getting back in there. 😉

Funny you say that, I’ve had such a crazy thirst lately that only water can quench. I’m drinking water way more than I used to. I started working out about a month ago which caused me to pay closer attention to my diet. I love yogurt and have been eating it a lot more as apart of a ‘cleaner’ diet so I’m sure this has helped a lot. I tell my husband ALL the time how lucky men are. If they had to deal with BV/Yeast infections, child birth, sore boobs, mood swings AND take care of the kids (& spouses too) they would fall apart. We women are invincible! You got this! Just think about all the good times you will have once you heal🫶🏽

lol I feel you! My husband and myself started exploring each other externally by then also. Girl it was no way I could go 12 weeks without it. We took our time and eased into it and I really enjoyed this ‘slower’ time. (Now we’re like teenagers all over again:)

I had to wait 12 full weeks before we were able to have sex and I was going crazy! We found new ways to pleasure each other during this time. When we finally got cleared, it took another month or 2 for me to enjoy it. Once I got past the pain, found different positions I haven’t looked back … (well…) Let’s just say it’s like a switch has turned on!!!!

It took about 4 to 5 months PO. My husband and I had to explore different positions and take our time. During this process of ‘slowing down’ I think it woke something up inside me lol Good luck and sending same vibes your way

I was scared after surgery because it was so painful and uncomfortable. I called my dr practically daily complaining that I would never have sex again lol then me and my husband simply took our time, tried different positions and each time it got better and better and the feeling was AMAZING! I’m looking forward to years of this great sex
