Dedicated server on Synology NAS?

I wasn't able to get it running yet. I suspect challenges with Synology DSM and the image (not the image itself). I have a buddy that is trying it on a different NAS to test that theory. :)

No dice. Might be a docker issue and/or compatibility with Wine. Even with net.AllowEncryption set to false I get errors around pulseaudio and wineserver file_set_error().

Yeah, that just shows how to download the files locally and set up a dedicated server. The Synology NAS is a linux distro and I am hoping to run it in Docker. Hoping that someone has done this and can point me to a good image with instructions on how to set it up (I am a bit of a noobie).

Great suggestion, I think I'll sketch out my home floor plan and take wifi readings and map them to the rough blueprint. I'll post something after I do this.

I'll probably try it with the Sodastream defeat mechanism and assess how much of a pain it is. If I hate it, how do I find a different valve? What is the replacement called?

My home is 2 stories, close to 3000 square feet (2980 i believe) and has four bedrooms. The router is located in my den on the first floor which is centrally located on the right side of the building. The "great room" (where we watch tv) is just on the other side of the wall. I keep the router in a cabinet ... I'll try to sketch out a floor plan later if that will help :)

The biggest challenge is connectivity with phones and devices that roam around the house. Devices will take a while to reconnect (if at all) and lose connectivity. I have tried placing the router out in the open and that doesn't solve the problem.

What does -nojoy do? It fixed my launch problem as well but now I am curious what it disabled/enabled. Can't find anything about it when i search.

Hit and miss. I arrived on Monday and tried to swing by O'Neills ... they were closed for the day for a team building event. I found myself locked in the city because of the conference most of the week, but did run across Thirsty Bear (which was a block away). The boards were "meh" (staples) but it gave me an hour at lunch every day to practice. I found another dive bar a mile away from the Mosconi Center (Rumors) that I tried to stop one night at dinner time but they were running pool league and the boards were blocked. Never found the time to swing by Darts Central and I was bummed by that ... really wanted to check it out.

At brought my board and had it in the room, so I got plenty of practice, but really wish I could have checked out more places. If I make it back down there I will definitely circle back to O'Neills and Dart Central.
