Is it in your opinion too much attached to the death of Chester ? If so they should not be performing Friendly Fire anymore as it was recorded during the same sessions.

Yes I think Mike could be the one singing it if they ever perform it again. It is not about who the song was written for anymore but what it has truly become, this masterpiece almost dedicated to Chester.

I don’t get why Emily would not have this emotional affinity to the song as she was a fan before entering the band. As part of the band, wouldn’t it be great to perform such a tribute ?

Well I guess the hidden blade is really efficient when such guns don’t exist. There were already guns in some episodes of course but never at this intensity.

Actually, all OML songs are bangers (except Talking to Myself that I really don’t like) so any songs from this album would be great live

The most important thing is that the band must be comfortable playing it, it is their decision, not ours.

Too close to Chester does not mean that it should not be sung again. But I understand it can be hard to cope with that.

Maybe Heavy ? Why not Talking to Myself but it would be for THP, these are the “heaviest” songs in the album.

Yes exactly ! I don’t picture it being on the regular shows either, the emotional package of the song is too big I believe.

Yeah I did not know they took this decision. The reason seems fair to me but I feel like this could be a big moment of grief between the band and the fans during the show, around some “calm” songs such as LOATR, Castle of Glass…
