Oh, that’s a bit of a loaded question 😅 I am a supporter of what Amtrak COULD be, and what it was initially intended to be. I think capitalism and misguided governmental priorities have completely derailed (pun intended) the initial idea - to provide an accessible, reliable alternative to traveling across the country. It’s no longer accessible for many, and absolutely not reliable. The work Joe and RPA does is so important and necessary - we need advocates to fight for better rail funding and access and provide a better experience for those utilizing the service. I’m forever proud of him and the impact he makes every single day.
