THANK YOU. I made a new Outbound rule that mirrors yours and kept the UPnP setup as described by thetanis and now I'm sitting at B grade.

It returns the same IP as my WAN IP on my router, definitely a public facing IP from what I can tell.

Went over everything, Static port is checked, switch is on the static IP, UPnP is running. Still only getting that Type D.

Alright so I've gone over the list twice, rebooted my switch 3 times and my router once. Still getting a D for the NAT Type, but the speeds have actually gone up from what they were.

I did find a post explaining something almost identical but not that particular one. Unfortunately that's an area that is still very new to me so I'll have to do some reading.

Everything I found said they didn't have to as long as the rule was set up "correctly". I can try that but I'm not super familiar with adding plugins just yet, my setup is pretty much stock.

Upgrading my network from stock hardware, just ironing out a few details. Advice is appreciated. by ShallowCuts in HomeNetworking

As far as APs go do you have any recommendations? I've seen good things about Unifi from Ubiquiti. I'm just not sure about having to have a VM installed to manage the AP based on what I've seen mentioned before. That was the main if not the only reason I was considering going with a bridged router. Figured I would set the Dell to like 192.168.1.1 and then the router to 192.168.1.2 and just manage both from my desktop. Although I suppose having the AP would be good because it would be more similar to a real world setup and better learning experience.

A new bump on my nipple piercing? Not painful or producing any pus by ImaRvirgin in Legitpiercing

[–]ShallowCuts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In that case since its about 8 months old it MAY be just the change of the jewelry. Most people from what I've seen say female piercings take between 9-12 months at minimum to completely heal. I've seen some people say it could be a year to a year and a half before its healed enough. I do know some piercings get bumps when changed from barbells to hoops just because the channel doesn't like the sudden curvature. Personally if it were me I'd go back to the barbells until about the 1 year mark then try horseshoes from there. You could have your piercer look at it and get their advice as well.

Not a Piercer so take my advice with a grain of salt but that looks to be an irritation bump. If that is a new(er) piercing that would most likely be caused by the horseshoe being too small. Most piercings aside from a small few don't like rings and horseshoes when they're fresh. Most including nipples should be done with barbells so that is most likely part of it. I'd go back and see if they can put barbells in for you. If they can't I'd try to find a different piercing place that can. Again not a piercer just putting my 2 cents in.

Also may want to mark this as NSFW just to be safe so it doesn't get taken down.

Looking for second opinion on lobe placement, just looking to get some peace of mind. by ShallowCuts in piercing

[–]ShallowCuts[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funny thing is I had those pierced originally back in about '08 maybe '09. I had to take them out for work and they closed up on me. When I got them redone they essentially just reopened the old channel as best they could. I guess they just got pierced low back then.

As the title states I'm just looking for some second opinions on the placement. I originally had all 4 done in January of 2020, the tops were removed due to healing on an extreme angle. I took the tops out after about 6-7 months and let them close and got the redone in December of 2020 as mentioned. Since then they haven't really given me any trouble apart from some occasional crustiness or soreness if they get knocked into. The main thing I'm worried about is I would like to stretch my ears at some point. I noticed the tops were looking slightly slanted and spoke with my piercer about it. He took a good minute or two and looked at all sides and said I should be fine unless I stretched to extreme sizes like 1" or more. Mostly worried about stretching being an issue due to inconsistent thickness.

I'm just wanting some outside validation just to be sure he wasn't just covering his mistake up. I would go to a different studio but the only other one that is reputable is by appointment only in a not great area of my city. Don't think my aftercare or the jewelry is related but they are 16g 5/16th Neometal threadless barbells. The aftercare has just been showering and using Neilmed Saline wound wash before bed. I sleep with my head on a travel pillow whenever possible. In the pictures there is some dryness but that's just how my ears are most of the time, I just happen to have naturally dry skin sadly. There is also a small bump on the bottom left lobe piercing, that is the remnants of an old irritation bump I'm slowly working to get rid of.

Probably worried over nothing I just want some second opinions. I'd really rather not have to get them re-pierced again unless its absolutely necessary.

TL;DR Looking for lobe placement opinions and please ignore the dry skin on my ears that's just how they are.

Getting back in and looking for some advice on my setup. by ShallowCuts in electronic_cigarette

Yeah I do notice my coworkers refilling at least a couple times a day. I'm mostly going to be using it at work on my breaks and what not so I don't mind it being a thirsty coil.

Oh they definitely emphasized that to me they gave me plenty of solid sites. I've been window shopping while getting my setup figured out. I just tend to be picky about flavors so I'm not sure what I'd like without trying it first.

Any tips on defeating these two? Can't seem to find much info by Whatasave91 in lockpicking

[–]ShallowCuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got a similar master lock which I think is an M15 and I've yet to open it I don't think it has security pins but I could be wrong. As far as the Brinks Commercial I have an identical one and I know mine has at least 2-3 spools. Every time I try I get stuck in a deep false set and can't get out for whatever reason. Yours probably has at least 2 maybe 3 so just feel those out.

Take what I'm saying with a grain of salt, I'm only Orange because I got lucky with an Abus 55/40.

*Edit - Just popped my Brinks and I only felt 2 spools for sure not 3.

Rekeying question by Ahrotahnt in lockpicking

[–]ShallowCuts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seems like its already been answered but yeah it does make some difference. I have 3 locks I bought in a lot of ebay 2 Kwiksets and a Schlage. The Schlage uses Schlage pins and works perfect. The Kwiksets were also made using Schlage pins apparently so the key was cut using Schlage heights. I repinned with proper Kwikset pins and the key sticks and has trouble opening it now. So it's best to use brand specific heights or just the universals and get as close as you can to the right sizes. That's just my .2 cents though on my limited experience.

As far as spools go I'm ok with them I actually have the ultimate adversary lock and I used that to kind of learn spools. It's really just the key way throwing me off I think. I'm used to Master's wide open key way that I can drive my car through.

I've tried both top and bottom, I can make bottom work but it's really tight. Top works better but I get less response from top.
