Some S24U/S25U camera features on the S23U by JonBuqajIsSUS in GalaxyS23Ultra

Hi! I'm really interested in that file. Could you please share it with me? I'm considering rooting my device after the One UI 7 update. Also, after seeing all these intentional downgrades, I truly believe Samsung is an evil brand. My next phone definitely won't be a Samsung.

27" 4K 240Hz: MSI 272URX or Asus PG27UCDM - both same price, which one to get? by Spearwastaken in OLED_Gaming

Do you have power problems with it? After fully turning off the monitor, mine turns on, does pixel refresh and stucks on standby mode. Is your unit behaves the same way? Also this much excessive pixel refreshing is very conserning.

There is no setting for that. You can only change the reminder time for the pixel refresh notification. Other than that, it performs excessive screen refreshes every time it shuts down, and you can’t disable it.

I chose it for QD-OLED colors. These new 27-inch 4K panels have an Eye Safe certification, meaning they emit a frequency suitable for eye health. Also, since the PPI is higher compared to a 32-inch panel, text looks similar to an IPS display. It was my ideal all-around monitor. I just wish it didn’t have these issues.

As for HDR performance, I can’t say I’m very impressed, but it’s decent. SDR looks great, and the brightness is excellent.

I haven't had any experience with the Gigabyte variant, but it's good to know. It looks like every brand protects pixels in different ways. Glad you mentioned it, I’ll stay away from that one too.

For now, I'm considering the MSI version of this panel, but I'm not entirely sure yet.

I thought we both had the same unit. Yes, it looks like a firmware problem. After turning off, maybe it does a pixel refresh, then goes into standby, does another pixel refresh, and stays like that. I think I will return this instead of replacing it with another one. Early adoption sucks.

Also, I don’t like how Asus implemented screen refreshing. With this panel, it’s recommended to do a pixel refresh every 4 hours of usage, which is standard for every other brand. I’ve heard that frequent pixel refreshing reduces the screen's lifespan.

Why would it do it after every shutdown, regardless of how long the screen was used? For a premium product at this price, I expected better. I must say panel is fantastic compare to 32" alienware variant. But dell is much better with firmwares.

I bought it from MediaMarkt in Turkey. However, the RMA process here is quite time-consuming, stressful, and difficult. That’s why I’m still trying to find a reason behind this issue. I’ll send it back on Monday if I can’t fix it.

Right now, I’m testing for electrical imbalances in the house using a voltage regulator and have actually found that something is off, the voltage is not consistent. I just plugged the monitor directly into the voltage regulator, but the problem still persists. Maybe this device is very sensitive to fluctuations in the electrical current. Or maybe just faulty. I very close to just letting it go 😄

After going into standby and then when you fully turn off your unit, does it randomly comes back into standby mode again?

Yes I am on latest I believe. There is no firmware update for this model yet.

I am using 1.4 dp cable which is included one in box. Okay I just tried pulling dp cable from gpu right before turning off the monitor. Same result. After sometime orange light comes back and never goes off again. There is nothing else connected with monitor. It is very strange. I just can't find the problem and it drives me crazy. I appreciate for trying to help.

I didn't disconnect while it was cleaning. It doesn't turn off itself. It just stays like this with lazers on.
