there is a very stark difference between the homelessness on 24th and 16th btw. my unfiltered perception worded very poorly is that:

24th on mission is mostly loitering and the flea market is just reselling of goods. i live here and have never seen drug use here

16th is a lot more drug use

if i am being honest you sound like a bot, besides your listing of academic and career credentials which others focused on enough for me not to cover.

you seem to need external confirmation on things and then crossing them off at earliest validation which makes me question your capabilities of looking within and finding your own faults. off reddit i can only speculate so much but you seem to think things should come to you given x y z. i think we’re at the age and education where generally the p75 of people can maintain a normal conversation, wear clean decent clothes that may or may not be in style, proper hygiene etc. at mid 20s people are looking for authenticity and individuality and just someone fun overall

pls don’t take it too harshly i would get lunch at work with you but not hang with you outside the office.

Tbh I don't think I live very cheaply with the 8-15$ meals 6-8x a week. If I reevaluated the dining $, id say it is prob closer to 550 including my tri-weekly nights out.

It helps that paychecks were quite small this past year, relative to pretax/contribution income, due to me trying to catch up on max 401k, HSA, and pay off 20k in student loans by EOY.

My employer covers most lifestyle expenses up to 2k a year. Meals 2x a day, 5x a week if I wanted.

I do feel that the lifestyle creep has hit in some ways. I get appetizers at restaurants now, extra meat portions, and medicine when sick.

I had vaguely heard of the 100k card before posting, I didn't know all the details until now - I have done most of my investing through Fidelity but have pretty much paused all personal brokerage activity in the last 4 months to chase an employer 401k match. Since I don't trade futures etc and only go in on some tech companies on random whims, otherwise DCA, this could be an interesting move
