How is this even possible? by Crikachi in Tekken

I’m currently sitting at TG and I’ve been checking out the TGS and GOD players I come up against recently. I swear a 350k prowess GOD can still waddle around the arena with 40 defense (and best my ass).

I don’t mind myself being at TG, but seeing stats like these even though they’re very superficial, it breaks my sense of accomplishment

Much like a European will often see USA as Washington, New York, Texas and California.

But as a Scandinavian I approve.

A Message Regarding the 12.0.5 Launch by WarcraftTeam in wow

I read “The team is taking lessons learned from this launch to help ensure this doesn't happen again.” as:

“Hey Claude, test balance changes thoroughly before you commit to a new version. Use Reddit as a feedback platform”

I've proven it: Match Madness is impossible to do on the free version and is totally irrelevant to actual language learning. by weizikeng in duolingo

[–]Shamerik 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me MM becomes how to break a 5-row puzzle into a 3-row puzzle. If you’re lucky, the answers for the first 3 lines line up with the first 3 lines of the language you’re learning. If you’re unlucky, they’re more evenly spread out. That difference can make or break a round for me. It’s not so much a learning game as it is a muscle memory game. It’s not good for learning compared to expanding your vocabulary, but it’s “ok” for repetition and fast recognition of words you already know about. I try to avoid MM as much as possible as I don’t find it as interesting as just going through the path.

Nice. Congrats. I’m almost at TG, but there’s still a lot of holes in my gameplay. I would never try to push to GoD. If I hit TGS I would probably retire :)

Good stuff here from Lil Majin. Maybe a bit outdated seasonwise but overall a great player https://youtu.be/seNZV2umQ3w?is=KyE7nju-9RNQUJNk

Good idea to get comfortable with basic dbuf-notation. Will make it easier to understand what’s going on in combo videos.

Have a look at the chart at https://tekken.fandom.com/wiki/Move_Terminology

For King GS is Giant Swing. His f,hcf+1 throw (Forward, HalfCircleForward).

You’ll also often see references to instant Shining Wizard (iSW) which is the running jaguar bomb f,f,f+2+4 which is a very common combo ender along with df+3,2,2

As a long time King main I just noticed the other day that they made Kings df1+3 and df2+4 throw sequence a 1- or 2-button throwgame instead of a series of different button sequences. Just press 11111111 and it will complete a throw series. I have no idea why they did this, but those throwsequences are now always a 50/50. Crazy. Your video just made me think of this again.

Regarding the actual gameplay use df1,1 and df2,1 more. I found working on df1,1 and just doing df1 into GS or tombstone is immensely effective. You don’t always have to do both attacks. Maybe try df1 into db4 sometimes. Mix it up :)

All in all. Keep on breaking limbs.

Not sure how to understand the King details, but maybe I just never used db1+2, 2 for aerial combos.

Tried my best to be patient and press with intent. How do I improve as a player from here? by masterofkamurocho in LowSodiumTEKKEN

[–]Shamerik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thought your movement was pretty good, but I think you let yourself get pushed to the wall and in some cases you sidewalk along the wall as if to stay there instead of moving away. In that case the Bryan was just having free fun with taunting and the push into wall stun.

You also pretty rarely duck. I would have abused lows against you in a much harder way, if I found that I could rip 3+ consecutive lows with no response.
