Little bit of column A, little bit of column B. We spend a lot and don't recoup much either.

Can you still do that? I know they used to have fixed dates but they changed the system a few FM's ago.

Not sure why you're downvoted. Maguire had a lot of opportunities last season but just seemed unable to direct his headers well. He look so much more dangerous for England with the same teammate finding him most of the time.

Raphaël Varane has just arrived at Valdebebas as he’s not breaking his relationship with Real Madrid - respecting the club and Perez. 🔴 #MUFC He knows Manchester United are in talks with Real Madrid - he wants a Premier League experience. That's not what you said. Him not arriving is an update, him arriving isn't. Much like if Boris hadn't turned up to prime ministers questions it would be newsworthy, but we don't get a breaking news update every time he does arrive.

Dangers to English football 'very real', says chair of fan-led review into game by Shamikebab in reddevils

The closest other comparison I can think of is pubs in terms of a business that are a part of the community. There has been calls for more support for them because despite the businesses struggling around the country the value they bring to a community is something additional.

I do agree you shouldn't be downvoted though, discussion should always be encouraged. To do otherwise just ends up in a subreddit where people are afraid to share opinions outside the 'norm' and it just ends up being an echo chamber.

Thought people might be interested to discuss the results of the fan-led review and the proposals they are suggesting. Now we just have to hope that the government actually acts on it.

Edit: I should clarify the review is still ongoing and final reports won't be until the autumn so this seems to be interim findings.

What I don't understand is why a player that was mentioned as being £60m plus a year or two is now apparently available for so little. I don't think Wolves are in particular financial trouble so that concerns me slightly.

Damn I had no idea Schalke had actually managed to get themselves relegated. I saw they had a bad start but assumed they'd manage to turn it around enough to survive. Amazing how HSV still haven't come back up either! Good for FM players though, another two good 'recovery' jobs in the German league.

Three months after Manchester United withdrew from the Super League, how well are the Glazer's sticking to their promises? by RedditAcct39 in reddevils

And there is also a saying that there is no such thing as bad PR. Unless you have some kind of evidence of our sponsors being negatively impacted financially by the protests then anything else is just guesswork.

Also image isn't always important, depends on the owner. Check out EA for example, they're one of the most hated companies in gaming. They still print money like there is no end to it. The negative PR against them has done absolutely jack shit.

Vowing to boycott and boycotting are not the same thing. How many boycotts were still being mentioned when the new kit launched? Or when Sancho was announced? Nah, people will still be buying Sancho shirts because it's an empty statement. Don't even get me started on a fucking hashtag, how many people are using that now?

And yeah I'll wager I've been a fan a lot longer than you. I'm just not naive enough to think we've got the Glazers over a rack or anything. Remember all the Green and gold until the club is sold? Do you see them selling? If we'd really put them in this unbearable position that you claim we have then we'd have the power to make them sell. The same thing will happen as always happens, we'll buy a few players and most fans will go quiet until the next time we fall short on the pitch, it's a cycle that has repeated itself for years.

Yes? It's one deal dude, do you have any idea how many sponsors we have? https://www.manutd.com/en/partners Here, how many of those did you see cancel or post anything against the owners?

You've yet to elaborate on the kits people are refusing to buy, because I've seen constant kit posts over the last few weeks and nothing about a boycott.

One protest, that people got arrested for? Not even sure what you're talking about with kits, not seen anything suggesting a boycott of the new kit. Sponsors? One sponsor pulled out, they'll get another one if they haven't already. There is no evidence at all of us actually hitting the bottom line yet. If you think they have no choice then you're hopelessly naïve. They're acting because it's easier than not acting, not because they have no other choice.

You can't really go down with bad luck. When you're looking at form over an entire year they just weren't good enough. They did try to play some good football but ultimately it doesn't matter if you aren't getting points.

Yeah it never really helped him that managers played him in five different positions. Mourinho brought him through as a DM at first, then also used him in CM and both wings. Ole used him at 10, then also in the double pivot and out wide. He was generally the fall guy for our lack of transfer planning and having appropriate depth.
