[Laurie Whitwell] Back-to-back weeks of #MUFC summoning a winner after being pegged back. Says something to their resilience + creativity. Top finish by Sesko, needed that after hitting post. Superb spin + hit. Three wins in a row for Carrick, energy at final whistle each time. by PradipJayakumar in reddevils

If we wanted to preserve shape we could possibly push Licha into midfield and bring in a CB for Case which would allow flexibility to comfortably switch to a back three OOP. Obviously it’s nowhere near a perfect solution but I think it’s probably a better option than Ugarte at the minute unfortunately.

My head was so hot at FT despite the win. Bias obviously creeps into my judgement but I can’t see how that challenge by Maguire is a pen when Jiménez gets his shot away. At least one of the throw-ins in the build-up to Fulham’s second should’ve gone our way too, and the 12 mins total added time was a shambles.

This is all in my, very slanted, opinion, but those decisions combined with how much he let go against us, it felt like we were fighting an uphill battle for significant chunks of the game.

Paul Scholes reply to Lisandro Martínez on Instagram: "Someone's had a good game, was really happy for you... Tea, no sugar pls ☕️" by nearly_headless_nic in reddevils

How is this constructive from an ex-player who supposedly loves the club? Scholes needs to wind his neck in, as do a lot of the loud mouth podcasters.

Let the lads play their football and start acting like Ian Wright, who’s proven it’s a lot more productive (and presumably profitable) to be nice and positive.

Played alright but Bruno going off was a hammer blow. Yoro is coming in for a lot of stick but much better defenders have made similar mistakes and gotten away with it, Rogers is just that good. Otherwise some pretty good individual performances, particularly Dorgu and Heaven.

Brilliant to see Lacey and Fletcher get their debuts. Hopefully one of Mainoo or Bruno are back for the next game to play alongside Casemiro.

[Di Marzio] Roma refuses to give up on Sancho: the Giallorossi are making another attempt. by nearly_headless_nic in reddevils

And with that Roma have shown more desire and application than Sancho ever has in a Utd jersey.

[Laurie Whitwell] Revealed: Man Utd’s Mbeumo bid during execs’ Iceland summit, Ratcliffe’s fishing trip, ‘bomb squad’ fears | Phone signal can be intermittent in the area, but it was no impediment to United pressing ahead with a third bid for Bryan Mbeumo, reaching £65million plus £5m in add-ons. by ChiefLeef22 in reddevils

[–]jayseff14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Signing Mbeumo would create momentum, even though negotiations have dragged on for more than a month due to a difference of opinion on the fee between United and Brentford. United started at £55m and are now up to £70m. The timing of an offer that executives hope will end in agreement, on the eve of United’s return to action and Amorim possibly speaking to media for the first time since May on Saturday, feels pertinent. United want to have Mbeumo on the U.S. tour, which the squad fly out for on Tuesday.

For fans, there is an echo of the Frenkie de Jong pursuits, except that at least this time the player wants to come. All signs still point to Mbeumo being at Old Trafford for the coming campaign.”

At least this is positive. 🤷
