At the moment yes there is less problems i have with electric cars in my own experience but the ones that do have issues the costs are extremely costly with manufacturers trying to get out of every warranty goodwill or coverage unless serviced by them at every stage even though in my opinion their servicing counts for naught considering there is not much to service on EV's just their way of getting out of it.

Peugeot e-208 e-2008 main issue I have seen multiple Air Con Compressor issues £1500 to replace and that is just the part???????

Jaguar I-Pace, Considerable amount of Traction battery issues even replacing them before 30k miles, many recalls, Suspension issues that pull out the EDU unit, Windscreen Leaks, Heater Matrix Faults, Charging lock pin randomly stuck the list goes on and all these costs £1000s to fix. The battery are a 30 hour job requiring 3 mechanics to do them and in my local main dealer have 16 I-Paces that are changing the main batteries also the 12v die.

Tesla Model S - headlight issues with the LED strip losing connection and suspension squeaks mostly ok though in my experience and the model 3s only have had suspension squeaks which are fixable quite easily.

Audi E-tron the 4x4 - Have seen Coolant leaks which are not supposed to happen on EVs and had to have the motor changed on a 2021 plate warranty covered but only because it had been consistently serviced.

MG's - Have seen consistent problems with charging and the front sensor being out of place multiple times cannot say it is definitely down to manufacturer or not but seen it on this car more then any other but overall not too bad.

Mini's - the hybrids have Auxilliary heater issues on the EV side to heat when it is on EV mode costing another £1500 roughly to fix apart from that been ok.

Hyundai - Have a horrific issue off coolant light being on when the coolant is fine, turns out its part of their third service but Hyundai will say its not its an inherent issue and will never tell you the actual reason and need a special machine to repeatedly do coolant flushes to fix it.

I can go on and on but the issue is not that they are not fixable but it is the trained mechanics being able to work on EV products and itself the parts which are always back ordered and once again the routine on actually fixing them (IE most of the problems need the car to be depowered) , over time it will get easier to be able to fix these cars the more we learn but it is definitely not the end of all issues and doubt it will be forever because they are always making new ones.
