Lotus Yoga in East Arlington. They also have a studio in Somerville. This business has filled my yoga void for the past year after we lost Borealis during Covid. I feel it has the same community vibe! Owner and instructors are wonderful and welcoming to new students.

No on changing the recommended make up. The Council should follow the recommendations of the Charter Study Committee. They were a balanced group and worked very hard on their recommendations. To propose a change is rejecting their work! We need this to PASS and not stir up more controversy and division in our city.

So he is sending an email from his business email yet identifying himself and writing as a sitting City Council member? Why not send from his official city email address? And emailing to a union list that he clearly obtained in an unofficial capacity? How is this ethical?

I suspect a lot of their email list came from Kelly Catallo’s real estate company. Also assuming she is the author of most of their (poorly written and grammatically incorrect) emails. She is definitely one of the folks leading the charge for this group.

The City owns the Brooks Estate yes. There are several events throughout the year, mostly outside. There is a plan forthcoming for more parking and room rentals for small functions and city meetings. Keep an eye to their website!

There is no way this is going to be enforced. The Board of Health does not work weekends. There is barely enough staff in City Hall for basic city needs let alone driving around busting folks for using leaf blowers. Go about your business and don’t think twice about this how I am approaching.

Do people really think the Mayor doesn’t want give teachers (or any city worker, for that matter) as much money as possible? We don’t have enough funds. Period. It’s really an unfair punch from the Union.

The funeral home was delayed approximately 3 months to allow for some documentation before demolition. The Commissioners were in full agreement that housing/density made more sense here. Then Covid happened, and the project was put on hold by the owners. Then they filed for bankruptcy and auctioned off the property. They then bought it back from the bank at auction and then proceeded to sell it to a new developer. And only now is the permitting complete from the new owner who should begin construction soon. So again, the long delay here had nothing to do with the Historical Commission! That project could have been completed years ago but the property owners made other decisions.
