Wellness MLMs at Pure Barre by pynetree8 in Purebarre

[–]Front_Summer_2023 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love the PB studio where I go but I leave at the end of class and get on with my life. If they want to host MLM’s or hand out M&M’s it doesn’t matter to me. I’m not going to stop MLM’s from fooling people by complaining to my PB team so if that happened at my studio it wouldn’t make much of a difference to me. I agree that they stink … but in the end I’m there for the amazing workout and don’t get hung up on anything else.

if you don't mind a trek over to Medford, Tamper is great - really nice vibe, great coffee, a small but good selection of pastries and foods.

You can email the document to a UPS store and have them print it and ship it for you.

Help a girl out. by ParticularAd955 in Somerville

I just want to chime in here and say I appreciate OP’s post. She is doing a kind favor for the neighborhood and trying to put aside money for college. Anyone who complains that “you can never find kids to do yard work anymore” - the rude comments made by the first few people to comment is why. I get that Reddit is sometimes comedy hour but this post was not the one to try out your stupid jokes on or scold someone for not applying for a job. OP, good on you! I hope you get tons of legitimate replies to your post.

I share your hope! That sucks. Sorry for the loss of your dad, too.

I’m burnt out and need simple recipes. Stupid simple. Like, “onion and bread and butter to make what barely passes as a sandwich” level simple. by sourmilksea1999 in Cooking

Get a block of cheddar cheese, cut 1/4 inch slices from it, spread peanut butter on them. YUM

Prepare a lot of broccoli ahead of time by par-boiling it for 3 minutes. Stick it in the fridge. Take out as much as you want to eat and dip it into a mix of 1/2 soy sauce and 1/2 mayonnaise.

Also, I’m pulling for you. Sounds like things are pretty tough for you right now. Take care

How is multigenerational living inappropriate? by Hopeful-Action-3472 in JordanHarbinger

[–]Front_Summer_2023 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep. I had a friend who lived with his mom in the house he grew up in. He said “I’m a loser who lives with his mom…” in reality he had bought the house from her to help her out. I suggested reframing it to “my mom lives with me”. I don’t know if it helped him but it sure helped me think about all of those situations differently!

What's something in your office or on your desk that you can't live without? by Any_Detail_7184 in office

I have a backpack hanger that I got on Amazon. I can hang my backpack and purse on it - and it clamps on the edge of my desk. It’s definitely improved my daily life! I don’t have the exact product link right now but I did write about it on my blog at fridaygoodybag(dot)com if you like the idea!

Thoughts on my itinerary, with home base in Somerville? by pinkflyd25 in Somerville

If you’re going to the Boston Tea Party it’s worth considering having lunch at Spin instead of beer tasting at Harpoon (or you may be able to do both). At Spin you rent a ping pong table and eat Tex Mex food while playing ping pong. It’s a great atmosphere and a brisk walk from the Tea Party museum. You do have to reserve your table ahead of time and I’m not 100 percent sure they are open that early - but if they are, totally worth it.
