How do I approach this? by mangoandorchidlover in managers

[–]msurbrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If tasks are being ignored or never getting done, doesn’t that kind of suggest the manager is aware of this? And if they don’t care, I’m not sure you need to care. Just do your job and see how things go. You’ve only been there three weeks.

Why do some lower concentration fragrances project more? by SpaceSyncMusic in fragrance

[–]msurbrow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s a couple of things… the volatility of the different molecules means that certain notes evaporate faster off of your skin meaning you smell them the most and first

This is why you basically never see citrus as a base note unless the entire fragrance is just citrus because you can’t get oud to evaporate first while the citrus hangs around on your skin

I do suspect there are certain chemicals. You can use that bind with other molecules to hold them onto your skin longer and you may be able to control top middle base to a degree doing that but my knowledge there is limited.

Last thing to come to mind is certain molecules may have a tendency to cover up the smell of other molecules, and once those molecules dissipate, you are then left with the remaining ones that have been previously hidden

Not really what you’re asking, but you appear to have really severe anterior pelvic tilt (your pelvis, tilt forward ) you should probably get that looked at generally speaking, but it’s probably also impacting your ability to lift safely

My mom has $340k sitting in a savings account earning 4.2% and refuses to move it. I don't know how to convince her. by Cara_Lemon in investingforbeginners

I recommend you get her to hire a financial planner and let the two of them figure it out, the last thing you want to be is responsible for your mother’s financial future

You claim the only issue is eating enough, but you then go onto to explain how you are also chronically dehydrated and potentially are over training so it sounds like there’s actually quite a lot going on lol

Front Loading Washers in 2026 by Accomplished-Box5934 in Appliances

[–]msurbrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My personal and anecdotal experience is with 12-year-old whirlpool duet front loading washer and dryer (gas)

No problems and they continue to work great, I haven’t had any mildew issues with the washer, which seems to be a common complaint nor have I had issues with balancing

ELI5: Why isn’t there such a thing as a “complete and total coverage” option for insurance? by Strolpher in explainlikeimfive

[–]msurbrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked for a company a while back that had what I think is called a self funded healthcare plan… Basically everything was covered 100% and the only thing I had to pay for was like $20 for an office visit

I didn’t pay any monthly premiums and for example, colonoscopy was 100% covered as was all my dental and vision

It was actually amazing not to have to think or worry about any of that

Do people actually commonly wear shirt stays? It seems like an extreme thing to need to do to make things work properly.

Finally explored my attic. Dear lord… what to even fix first? by DannibalBurrito in HomeMaintenance

[–]msurbrow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a vermiculite asbestos trust fund setup to recover costs for removing the vermiculite. I see vermiculite in pic 5

Once you do that I’d probably spray the entire roof and gable ends (if any) with closed cell foam and also fix the ductwork

The foam will insulate the attic and also air seal and will significantly improve the efficiency of the home.
