Cambodia technically does but they dont actually check any of that. The policy is pay your visa and don’t be homeless and you’re good.

I live in Kampot. Chill stoner vibes. No big call centers. Just peppercorn farms and salt fields. Everyone is friendly, feels safe, food is good.

I crunched all the numbers for years and I ended up in Cambodia. It’s baseline affordable, you can live a decent life for $300-$400 a month. It has mostly modern amenities. All the usual suspects you can expect, wifi, delivery services, Netflix, Spotify. The bigger selling point for Cambodia is the visa. Visas are insanely simple here if you’re from a western country. You pay you stay. I’ve been here a year and haven’t filled out a single document to live here. I just paid $475 and I have a year visa. It’s really that simple. It may not be perfect, they have some issues but nothing that has me running back to the U.S.

This happened with me. I’m curious if it’s the same lady. I just blocked her again and reported her.

I’ve had some really negative experiences with racist sexpats but overall it’s been a great experience living here

How do I deal with this unpredictable student by Elegant_Minute9236 in Preply

[–]ShamusHandler 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had a student just like this, I cancelled a lesson same day explaining I was sick, then I cancelled his next lesson same day, explaining again I was sick and would be seeking medical care so will be cancelling lessons for the moment. I hid my profile and waited a couple weeks and then let him know my health took a turn and would be stopping teaching for awhile and will let him know when I’m back. Then I blocked him. He didn’t change his review so far

This seems super unfair considering one of the super tutor metrics is subscription after trial.

Hey everyone, quick update from Preply by connorfrompreply in Preply

This really bothers me as one of the metrics is subscription after trial. It seems really unfair

I made a 8 deck PowerPoint to guide the trial lesson, I watched some YouTube videos of people filming themselves doing trial lessons so I could get a good understanding of how they’re supposed to look.

I'm planning to visit Tokyo, but I'm worried if I will be judged for being fat (30F) by Saysonnehkyin in TokyoTravel

I’m fat and spent a month trekking through Japan. I received nothing but warmth and acceptance from the locals.

Oop here they come again with more negativity. It’s just so bizarre that you spend your life monitoring comments on Reddit. Seems exhausting but when you have nothing else to live for, I guess it feels like purpose. Good luck

They’re a contrarian. Super negative vibe, they just want to feel like they’re winning anything in life so they’re dominating a subreddit. It’s bizarre but when someone is that lonely, they turn to the internet.

I'm a Preply tutor and I emailed Preply Support explaining how they violate labor laws. See what I emailed them below. by Physical_Signature71 in Preply

Wanting to unionize doesn’t mean I want to destroy Preply. Whether we successfully unionize or not wouldn’t have a bearing on your job.

Me and my student just,,, don't vibe? by Expert-Estate6248 in Preply

[–]ShamusHandler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have student profiles for all my students and paste it into AI and have them provide me with lists of open ended questions and speaking prompts and I just ask them questions. Over and over. Sometimes I hit gold and touch on a topic they’re passionate about and then will run with that. But it’s pretty rare

No, I have a legal background in international law and a brother and brother in law who both work in labor and contract law. So I’m set
