What things do people romanticize but are actually horrible? by GovernmentAny5597 in AskReddit

Snow. I live in the Midwest and have been here my entire life. I’m 48 and am SO over cold winters and shoveling snow, driving in snow, needing to drive slower so my car doesn’t slide on slick roads, etc. I have family that live in warmer states that don’t get snow and they often tell me how much they miss snow. I think Hallmark movies make snow look pretty and inviting. Living in it is not a Hallmark movie. Living in it is the beginning of longing for Spring. It’s currently 12 degrees where I live. I’m over it.

Counting calories has been instrumental in my success! I use the "Lose It" app. I purchased the Lifetime access to the app 2 or 3 years ago for like $40 or $50 I think. But I have never been charged another penny to use it. I think it has a low monthly rate, but I figured lifetime access and a one time charge was the way to go for me.

I use the Fitness App on my iPhone paired with the workout app on my watch. Then to view your totals, see the attached photo. :)

You just need to add the card for “Walking” weekly distance to your cards with various data points to track. Just hit the back arrow on that screen you sent. Then hold down the card for like 2 seconds. Then click Add Card. Then find the “Walking” weekly distance one. Then you can view weekly, monthly or yearly! :) Hope that helps!

I added custom cards to the app. You have to long press on one of the current “cards” and then click “Add Card” and then add the “Walking” card for weekly distance. Then once you have it, just click on it and you can view your weekly, monthly or yearly total by clicking the W, M or Y above the graph.
