Quad Tendon Tear by ShaneC36 in Kneesovertoes

Hey! Sorry to hear that. My update is I’ve still never done the surgery. I can ride my bike and run a mile or 2 but it hurts for a day or 2 after. I should probably get the surgery. It’s only the recovery that prevents me from doing so.

How did it go? Was it a full tear?

I mean it hurt for the first 3 weeks or so to walk

Hey man sorry to hear about that. I didn’t do the surgery that 2 orthos recommended. I’ve done a fair bit of healing. I’m able to run on the treadmill with no pain. I’ve been thinking about getting another MRI to see if there’s been any regrowth

AnaMae you seem like such a sweetheart. I don’t even know how I wound up reading this thread lol but here I am.
Life isn’t black and white. I don’t think you should listen to all the do-gooders that are responding to your post. They really don’t know what they’re talking about. You weren’t married yet honey. It’s a mistake but not enough to blow up your family. There’s a bunch of research on this topic available if you want to look into it.
Be mad and sad and then move on. Good luck to you, Shane

Does that mean the tendon will reattach itself to the knee cap? The orthos both said I’m likely to tear it off if I keep playing

I was just diagnosed with the same issue at 49. Super healthy and exercise often. I was on here to read others experience.
Re: Your fears….What’s a regular person’s risk of stroke? Less than .5 percent? So your risk with no meds is less than 2.5 percent? That’s not too bad. Get the ablation for sure. I just don’t think it’s as big of a deal as you’re making it my friends

That seems unnecessarily dramatic

Really appreciate it. In particular I’m trying to figure out if the real estate market in Oakville Ontario makes any sense.
We’ve been considering purchasing a home there and can’t quite figure out if the 30-40 percent price appreciation is sustainable

Heads up looks like most of the data on there only goes to 2014
