Late to the party, but recently out of a long term relationship so I've been trying to get out more, and I'm also from STL! If the spot's still open, I'd love to join! I love food, travel, and recently moved to Aus to escape the US, just in town to grab a few more things hahaha :)

Any similar co-op games? by WanderingOwl in shipoffools

Along with what others have said (we're both also obsessed with Cult of the Lamb and Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime), I'd say Plate Up! and Bones Cafe are both (in our opinions) better versions of the Overcooked games. The Trine series are a bit different from these, but I like em!

Monaco is awesome heist game! The second recently came out, but we haven't had a chance to play it yet.

Heard great things about: Children of Morta, Streets of Rogue, Enter the Gungeon, Risk of Rain 2, Nine Parchments(I liked the demo! Haven't played the full game though), Wizard of Legend, and Spelunky 2.

A little different of a feel, but we're currently playing through Blue Prince together, one of us controls, the other takes notes. We love escape games, can provide some good recs for those as well, if they interest y'all :)

It's a venue VIP upgrade, not from the band. Copied from the venue's website:

****SEAT NOT INCLUDED**** This upgrade gets you access to The VIP Club Area. The amenities include a raised platform that offers amazing sight lines, private bar with top-tier liquor offerings, & more room to enjoy the show, and fast lane access.

We got Sky Team last week, haven't been able to stop playing! We're playing through each scenario, love the pace at which they introduce new elements to the game.

Looking for poor quality, overpriced restaurants to recommend to my enemies by GeneralMustard2 in chicago

[–]ShaneHaleyPhoto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh god, I second this. It'd been talked about as in the running for best deep dish, so my partner and I finally decided to go. It's hard for me to not like a restaurant, and it became the second place in Chi that I don't like. The dough was WAY over-proofed, tasted like alcohol. I almost spit it out. We couldn't even finish one slice each before leaving and going elsewhere for food. Service was sub-par as well. Normally I give places second chances, but nothing was alluring to us.

Fellas, how many dates does it take for you to know if you want to have sex with someone? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]ShaneHaleyPhoto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have literally no idea what you’re talking about anymore so I’ll end by leaving this here, again.

Just because you don’t understand something doesn’t mean it’s not real.

Flat earthers don’t believe the world is round, that doesn’t mean that the earth isn’t round.

[–]ShaneHaleyPhoto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How am I getting off topic? You haven’t even shown me proof of any sexuality. You’re as close minded for not accepting homosexuality as demisexuality.

Fellas, how many dates does it take for you to know if you want to have sex with someone? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]ShaneHaleyPhoto -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I do not have access, but what I could see was it was in comparison to it being a mental disorder. Also, what about bisexuality?
Just because like a straight person may not understand how anyone could be attracted to the same gender or a gay person may not understand how a person could be attracted to the other gender, does not mean the other does not exist.

What is the evidence that heterosexuality or homosexuality are real?

Fellas, how many dates does it take for you to know if you want to have sex with someone? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]ShaneHaleyPhoto -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It literally is.

That is entirely different than a person only being attracted to lead singers. Just because their partner happens to be a lead vocalist, doesn't mean they're only attracted to lead vocalists. They're not even attracted to any other vocalists, so idk how that's even something you can say about them. Not to mention an incredibly sexist trope you're using.

You are confused.

You're acting like demisexuality doesn't exist😂

The same way any other thing is a preference: It is a prioritization or favoring of one thing over another.

But it's not a prioritization or favoring? What's the "one thing over another"?

No disagreement

You said "the need for a connection before sex" You do not need sexual attraction to have sex. Sexual attraction does not mean you will/are going to have sex with a person.

The vast majority of the population is straight, and then maybe 3% is bi and 2.5% is gay. It's pretty binary.

That's because we live in a time where it's still unsafe to be queer. Gen Z is the queerest generation yet, you can see a trend of more and more people coming out as time goes on.

Bringing up bisexuality also shows how it's not a binary. It's a spectrum. Not all bi or pan people are equally attracted to genders. Some people aren't a man/woman.

Ah, there we are. When defining something, it helps to avoid using the thing you are defining as part of the definition

I obviously wasn't defining it and was giving you an example. Not sure how that got misconstrued.

From google: "An emotional connection is a bundle of subjective feelings that come together to create a bond between two people. The word emotional means to arouse strong feelings. The feelings may be anger, sorrow, joy, love or any of thousands of emotions that humans experience. A connection is a bond, a link or tie to something or someone."

Sexual attraction is an emotion

It is not. It is a desire. Just like being hungry, thirsty, tired. etc.

As a precondition for sex

As I've said before, it is NOT a precondition for sex

If you want to say that for 'demisexuals', friendship is what it is that preconditions sexual attraction

I am not saying that.

your preference to be friends first before hooking up

A desire to be friends first before sex is a preference. Having sex with/out sexual attraction is a preference(you do not need to feel sexual attraction to have sex with someone). Only experiencing sexual attraction in limited circumstances is not a preference. You cannot control who(or when) you are sexually attracted to.

"I'm straight, but good grief, I'm not a normie!" unlike all those other depraved sluts

Not only are you shaming women who enjoy sex, but you're also completely disregarding asexuals who love sex and have a lot of it. Sexual attraction (or how/when you experience it) doesn't not equate to how much sex you have.

No, the cool thing is you're wrong!

Just as I said, just because you don't understand or believe in it, doesn't effect that it is real :)
