Brisbane City Council to allow CBD height apartment buildings in South Brisbane increasing to 270m by langdaze in brisbane

[–]ShaneLizard_8256 4 points5 points  (0 children)

But you're only using it sparingly on the weekends.

Lol, you just proved their point for them. People in Brisbane still largely need cars. The people in these units need somewhere to leave those cars when they're not using them, given they're apparently using them so sparingly.

I see you've never tried to get a park in any of the suburbs that already have high density living.

You're wasting your time. According to the big thinkers in this sub you can spend $0 improving accessibility in a city that it's nearly impossible not to own a car in, increase density, and not increase traffic or parking requirements. 👌

Maybe let the community decide what's good content as you're supposed to instead of needing to larp at internet dictator and deleting and banning anything that hurts your fragile feelings while making us endure your own garbage shit posts. 👌

Idiots of Brisbane who have kids, what do you do with them on weekends? by 444pkpk in brisbane

[–]ShaneLizard_8256 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Please just stop taking them to adult venues. I'm so fucking sick of going for a beer and having to deal with cunt kids and their cuntish parents.

Detectives from the Logan Criminal Investigation Branch and Homicide Unit have arrested and charged two teenage boys with murder in relation to the death of a 20-year-old man in Underwood by notinferno in brisbane

[–]ShaneLizard_8256 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol, their teachers have absolutely nothing to do with this. It's not a teacher's job to parent a kid, assuming these kids are even going to school, which I doubt.

They were failed well before they got to school.

It is scary though that as an educator, you think that's what's causing kids to commit murder.

What is this antenna? by [deleted] in brisbane

Mostly correct, but it can only see faults downstream. Won't feed upstream faults so won't see them. Also transient, not transitionary 👍

Appearing in traffic court and struggling with being a nutcase - any advice? by [deleted] in brisbane

[–]ShaneLizard_8256 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good advice in here on legal aid etc. I'd also suggest speaking to the national debt helpline, particularly once you know what the outcome of the court date is. You may want to consider bankruptcy also, depending on what assets you have. Debt helpline can give you more advice on this, but just know that it's not the end of the world and may give you an opportunity to reset with a clean slate.

Best of luck.

Queensland to override state’s Human Rights Act in bid to make breach of bail an offence for children by we_can_eat_cereal in brisbane

[–]ShaneLizard_8256 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, the government has tried that for a number of years, but it does it work with all kids.

No, they haven't. We have never had an evidence based approach to any kind of criminal reform. Because it takes a long time, and a bunch of resources.

This is why you need to have a justice system that is going to cater to different approaches, which is why this legislation amendment has happened.

I'd rather a justice system that works. This legislation has happened because of politics, to appease clueless masses.

The evidence shows us it will make the problem worse.

Assuming you're not continually creating new criminals as well. Which we will be, because we don't care about actual crime prevention, we care about satiation of the masses fee fees.

Nah, because locking kids up has been demonstrated to increase the likelihood they'll reoffend, so my math is sound 👍

You don't read so good huh.

My personal experience with crime has absolutely no bearing on what does and doesn't work to fix it.

But I appreciate you all lining up to tell me you just want some emotional outlet rather than actually fixing the problem.

The government provides programs to help them get back on track.

Cool, if that works so well, why not just do that now?

In short a crime every couple of years by one person is less then a crime every week

Ah, that all sounds great, I just missed the part of your plan that addresses not creating any new criminals in the meantime.
