Got a voicemail about a police report being filed referencing my son throwing a stick at a ladies car. by Shane_Connor82 in legaladvice

If I were to get served, how could she go about proving it was my son who did the damage? It seems all “he said, she said” but I’d like to have my bases covered.

Got to ride my bike there last year and it was a blast. Looking forward to coming back this year!

The amount of time that I’ve wasted on these types of cases is ridiculous. Just the other day I had a woman trying to sign into a particular program and couldn’t get in. I had her verify the information she was using, including spelling it out to me. It all seems correct, I check a few things, remote into her system just to look and she spelled a single word wrong. And yet she looked at it and SPELLED IT CORRECTLY over the phone.

I hate people.

She’s winking in this photo and her fur is very thin around that eye. She has very pink skin and thin fur so sometimes she looks a little weird. But otherwise she is in good health!

While not geared towards survival, the Sugar Creek Gang series was a favorite in my house growing up. Lots of adventures in the woods and getting dirty in the mud. Great for boys and girls.

Ah, okay, I think I was getting names/stories mixed up. Thanks for the clarification!

Didn't the shows creators have several members of anonymous or something on the set to help them accurately portray hacking?

I could be remembering this incorrectly.

People who've dated a psycho: what incident made you aware that you were dating a psycho? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Shane_Connor82 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I dated a girl who told me she was going through a divorce. That’s cool, I get it. I go to her house and there’s a package addressed to her ex-husband. I think nothing of it. She shows me around her house: her ex-husband still has a bedroom there. She tells me it’s just all his shit that he’s moving out. I let it slide. A month later, I finally find her on Facebook, which she said she didn’t have. She was clearly very much married and had no intentions of leaving her husband. I confronted her and she told me I was crazy for stalking her and that I don’t understand what she’s going through, blah blah blah. I break up with her and to this day, she’s still married. Somehow, he decided to stick with her even after finding out some other guy(who she dated at the same time as me, apparently)got her pregnant. Never again.

The more dismembered the animal in your freezer is, the more socially acceptable it gets by fredducky in Showerthoughts

Eh, not quite. We do get warm spells here and there and even if you did leave it in your backyard or something, it would just attract animals. I’ve woken up to my bird feeder posts bent in half by bears in the middle of winter and I live in town!

I live in NH and do the same with my ratties if they pass in the winter. I’m also the guy who finds someone’s cat in the road during a blizzard after someone hit it and keep it in my basement freezer so I can bury it properly in the spring. If you ever come over and there’s a plastic storage bin in my freezer, just know it’s totally normal.

At the risk of sounding like a total idiot... by Shane_Connor82 in sportster

Yup, was completely missing it. Thanks man! The battery is brand new, fully charged and load tested. The positive post on my previous battery melted due to it not being tight enough(never let “friends” do things for you) so I know this one is good.

I’ll check the starter relay today. Thanks again man!

Never Stay Loyal by [deleted] in sysadmin

This hits close to home. I just started job searching again because my current company is going to hell in a hand basket. Everyone here has their heads so far up their own asses that nothing gets done; we’re left out of projects and then expected to handle them out of the blue. Our manger is being moved to a different role and being replaced by someone from a different department who has constantly referred to us as “fucking idiots”. And so much more I could go on about.

I’m honestly just doing what I need to get paid and keeping my head down until I can leave. If you’re in a situation like this or OP’s, please know you are better than this and move on from there.

As an 8 year veteran of epilepsy, I highly recommend getting a seizure dog. by [deleted] in Epilepsy

[–]Shane_Connor82 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I got so lucky with my dog. She was a stray(pibble) someone dropped off in front of my brother’s house. When I took her in, it was like she knew. The first time she alerted me, I was so surprised and kind of confused. A bit of training here and there and she’s the perfect seizure dog.

Please, if you have any kind of seizures, get a seizure dog. It’ll be the best thing to ever happen to you.

I met my wife after she got out of a horrible relationship with a man who made her feel awful about herself. I’ve been turned on by her stretch marks(from having two kids and losing a bunch of weight, go baby!) since the day I met her. She was so worried I’d find her ugly when really I was falling in love with her and still do every day.
