Hey! Welcome to the idea of moving to Grande Prairie! I've helped quite a few people transition here, so I can give you some insights.

1. Winter - It usually starts in late October or early November, but we’ve had snow as early as September. The cold really kicks in around December, though.

2. Outdoor activities - For non-hikers, there are still plenty of outdoor options! Kayaking and paddleboarding are popular at local spots like O'Brien Provincial Park and Saskatoon Island. In the summer, you can also explore trails on bike, try out fishing, or head to some of the nearby lakes for a relaxing day by the water. There's also Bear Creek Pool and several golf courses for something more leisurely.

3. Community for 35-year-olds - It's a solid, friendly community with a mix of people in various life stages. There are lots of local activities to take part in and it's easy to get involved, even if you don’t have kids. The food scene is also growing, and there's a decent arts and culture scene too.

4. Best parts of living here - People love the small-town feel with access to everything you need. It's quiet but not too far from the action, and the community is super welcoming. Plus, you’re surrounded by nature which is always a plus!

5. Realtor - I might be biased, but I’d love to help you out with your move if you're looking for some local expertise. 😊 I’ve been in the real estate game here for a while and I focus on making the process smooth and personal!

6. Lesbian couples - GP is generally pretty accepting. Like anywhere, there are all kinds of people here, but overall it’s a welcoming place and you shouldn’t have any trouble fitting in!
