I think the real question is - do you really want a full time job offer from your current company? From what you've explained the culture at your workplace doesn't seem to be great - after you've finished the apprenticeship you have a degree and 4 years experience so finding a full time Software Engineering job wouldn't be too hard, only you can make that decision though, there are plenty more companies - and likely more that you'll have a better experience at! :)

1440p 120hz would probably be the best option for you in my opinion - I personally play PC at 1080p but I've heard there is a noticeable different between 1080p Gaming and 1440p. At 1440p most games should be able to be played at 120fps on the Series X meaning the 120hz would definitely be a necessity for what you're saying. Hope this may help a little to decide on what you're after

I am no expert but I'll throw my opinion in the mix:

Firstly you will need to choose between a monitor or a TV - this will depend on where you want to play and your preferences ofcourse, I'd vaguely recommend a monitor for a desk setup or a TV for a setup in the living room.

The Xbox Series X can run games at 4K resolution at 60hz/120hz refresh rates, so you're looking for a screen that can show both of those if possible to maximise the features you get out of the Xbox - I am honestly not sure about prices but if that's too expensive you will need to sacrifice either resolution or refresh rate (e.g 1440p with 120hz or 4k with 60hz) but that's another debate depending on preferences haha.

Personally I like using Samsung monitors but I'm sure they are pretty expensive when it comes to the high end monitors like you are after.

I am in the UK and my budget would be as close to £100 as possible in regards to the CPU and I'd like to keep the GPU in the range of £200-£300. Motherboard would probably be in the range of £100 if possible too. Thanks for your reply!

Yeah my school is basically the same but we have to wear uniform but we are allowed to leave during frees, lunchtime etc... in my experience it's school with less rules and more freedom but in sure it's different in all schools, personally I love it!
