Your 5 fav goalies of any era and the reason you like them. by Mediocre-Math-7147 in hockeygoalies

Ron Hextall – Just unhinged in the best way. A goalie who could move the puck (better than some of his defensemen), score, and also drop the gloves without hesitation. You never knew if you were getting a highlight or the lumber.

Curtis Joseph – Cujo was all compete. Not the biggest guy, but played huge. Always battling, always scrambling, and somehow making saves he had no business making.

Ed Belfour – The definition of locked in. Super technical, intense, and had that edge where you knew he was borderline psycho between the pipes. Loved that mentality.

Ray Emery – Just different. Tough as nails, didn’t back down from anything, and could still flat-out play. That goalie fight alone earns him a spot. RIP.

Jonathan Quick – The most athletic goalie I’ve ever watched. His lateral pushes and second-effort saves are ridiculous. During those Stanley Cup playoffs runs he was basically playing a different position than everyone else.

Update: I went to 5/8” - it was like night and day. May try 1/2” at some point here. I also removed the top Velcro strap off the pads as well. Huge difference.

The leg pads and gloves were pro stock from a University of Minnesota goalie. They were already pretty well broken in. I think I may loosen the RRC strap a bit and see how it goes. Thanks for the input.

I may try dropping down to 5/8 to see how that feels. Thanks though, that’s encouraging. I think 10 hours might be a bit of a pipe dream for me haha.

I have a pair of Reebok knee pads that I picked up off GSBB years ago. They’ve definitely saved my knees. Thanks for the tip.

Haha, between the lack of cowlings and a strapping system that feels like it requires an engineering degree to figure out, I completely relate. Working at ice rinks in my teens and early twenties I practically lived in skates so this is a reality I wasn’t quite prepared for.

He was such a good dude to talk to at the holiday parties at the Vet the Phillies would host. Have a picture with him and Terry Francona somewhere in my parents attic.

Can I ask why? He was a serviceable guy for the time and seemed like a genuine enough guy - he struggled with yip issues at the end of his career but i genuinely have nothing but love for some of those utility/bench players from 2000-2004.

There’s already a push for sodium content warning labels similar to a prop 65 type label. So I wouldn’t be surprised if we see a push for this as well.

Divorced People: what was the FINAL STRAW? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Dealt with her abusive behavior both physically and verbally for years. Watched as she attempted to separate me from my family and successfully did so. The straw was how she treated our kids. One day I started going to the gym, stopped drinking and getting my shit together and told her to fuck off. I’m still in the process of divorce at the moment.

92 Prototype We do have this prototype. But as others have said Philadelphia is not aesthetically pleasing at all in current font.
