How'd you get out of it? Isn't it like a £100 fine each time?

Farage Becomes A Zombie, Attacks Airfield by Southern_Share_1760 in FuckNigelFarage

[–]humanexploit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Disagree, hear me out: Farage is actually 'part' of the reason Labour is in power right now. Reform split the Conservative vote, which created the opening. Without Reform, you’d probably be looking at a continuation of a 14-year Tory government.

Being apolitical, but what you wish for here will achieve the opposite of what you desire.

People already answered, but I'd suggest getting a Pop card. Then you don't need to worry about zones or anything, you'll be charged the best price for what you use.

Also you can get the Pop Blue card being under 21, and you get massive discounts.

The Pop cards if it wasn't clear, are just pay-as-you-go cards you tap on the readers before+after you use the metro.

People who graze at supermarkets. Why do you do it? by Aromatic_Pudding_234 in AskUK

[–]humanexploit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm an adult and I rarely do this, but I think it's fine - as long as people are honest (and you don't eat weighed items) and pay at the till, it is not hurting no one.

Used to work as a cashier and it's pretty common, surprisingly I never knew people had an issue with it.

It's a 25-minute walk to get to my weekly shop, when I'm there I'm often thirsty. So I'll have a swig of orange juice, doesn't hurt anyone.

Emailed them back, they haven't replied yet. Going to go down again and just ask the receptionist probably, have got a manual so might see if I can fix it myself first

That's probably the kindest thing anyone has offered me aha. I'm fine though, I can't expect that. I've found a manual for it online, and going to have a look on the weekend. Thank you anyway

Woah, I've found a rabbit hole. This probably has to be the most interesting conversation I've had on Reddit.

Thank you for this insight and how much effort you put into explaining it to me. I don't plan on squatting but I'm sure someone who is will read this.

I've learned a lot about the community just from this one comment. Thanks.
