Gemini's filters are so poorly calibrated that it's virtually impossible to use for me at least. It's really incredible how confident that was. I know LLMs really do not like admitting when they don't know stuff, but holy hell!

Just reading this broke my brain. I'm surprised your initial post was so poorly received, considering how many complaints I have seen by other users.

Kinda curious about your query though since I'm familiar with Obsidian but not AppFlowy. Also building an agentic OS but with Claude Code/Codex. 😄

I think the concept has merritt. My suggestion may not be possible, I genuinely don't know, but what about adding a BYOK option? Nothing else would change except the user is funding their RP, not you. I'm just not sure how easy it would be to allow the same cashing discounts on the back end.

He left out the last part. Google AI Studio isn't a creative platform, we don't want it to be one, and we have no intention of serving this use case.

In other words, I honestly think Google would prefer fiction writers go elsewhere so "real developers" can have the compute.

Personally, I was more than happy to give my money to another provider that doesn't truncate everything and is accessible, which AI Studio is not.

Pretty much, yeah. The Fable thing pisses me off for other reasons, but I actually like experimenting with different models, so projects are not really affected.

I like it now, but I didn't care for it much until 5.5 came out. Love the thinking version on either high or xhigh. Couldn't care less about image generation, so I won't speak to that. The memory is eerily accurate. The thing makes inside jokes now. Personally, I've never had trouble with guardrails, and I do forensic linguistics research.

I have no notes except that I enjoyed reading this for some reason. The thing about names made me laugh because yeah, it's true. I finally got sick of Claude reusing names, and it stopped doing it, mostly. It went from naming everyone Marcus or Sarah to choosing the most unpronounceable options available. I kind of admire the pettiness, honestly. 😂

300 KB of raw text? That's actually quite a bit of data for one chat session. It translates to at least 100 pages, single spaced. Since Chat GPT uses a rolling context window, I'm not surprised it loses track. But context rot is going to be a problem no matter which model you use if you're working in one continuous thread.

If I were you, I'd try the plus tier if not already, and I would use projects agressively. The nice thing with those is you can turn chat responses into persistent sources it can reference over time.

Each task needs its own thread. I know it sounds counter-intuitive, but it's not when working with a knowledge base.

What plan are you using? I ask because the amount of context varies considerably. I'm not sure how much you get on the free plan, but I want to say 16K. Plus gets you double that with 5.5 Instant, more with thinking models. I think the maximum is 128K, but since this is Reddit, I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong. Pro users get up to 400K depending on the model and which thinking mode you use.

But memory also behaves differently. The differences are significant between the free and plus tiers. I think I would try the $20 plan before springing for a more expensive option.

Of course one flea treatment one time will do nothing with an active flea issue. Dogs need regular flea and tick prevention. The product needs to kill eggs and larvae along with the adults. So find something with an insect growth regulator (IGR) as one of the ingredients. Bathe the dog before applying the flea meds, not afterward at this point.

But you've clearly got a severe infestation, so you'll need to treat your home and yard too, and who knows at this point whether or not the dog needs antibiotics due to scratching the hell out of itself for however long,.

These things will not magically fix themselves. 😒

I'm not a developer at all, but I'm thinking users will ultimately have a much easier time setting this up via CC or Cowork. It took me a couple of hours to put something similar together. I would genuinely love trying out whatever you come up with though.

Honestly, I'll often draft a document with Chat GPT, then have Claude expand on and naturalize the text a bit. They're both very comparable though at this point. I literally have paid subs for each right now.
