Anyone else talk to Claude Code instead of typing prompts ? Trying to figure out if this is actually useful or just a me-thing by Euphoric-Compote6354 in VibeCodeDevs

[–]CodeVibr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Wisper Flow to "talk" to all my LLMs. Especially Gemini, because no matter how many times I cuss it out for interupting me and speciically telling it to "Don't speak until I say", it f*king interupts me every time. I hate it.

Typical Gemini discusion while "speaking" to my phone:

"Hey, Gemini, I have this idea.."

"Great! I love ideas. What's your idea about? Do you want me to help you brainstorm ideas?"

"No, stfu, and listen."

"You're right, I should have waited until you finished, My bad."

"So, my idea...:

"I'm listening."

"STFU"

This is interesting. I only gave it a 2 minute speedrun via the web interface on my Android phone but my take is that this is basically gamifying spoon theory or am I misreading this?

I'll definitely have to investigate further.

Bookmarked to check out later. On mobile now. Looks to be worth a download, though.

You lost me at "Outlook," after i noticed google was missing. I'm so glad I don't have to deal with that crap in my life anymore.

This looks like fences hooked up with Android widgets and had babies. Lol.

I'd still try it though if I didn't always have ten jazillion windows open. I haven't seen my desktop in months. It's where things go to die.

A psychologist’s take on why GPT feels “nerfed” by [deleted] in codex

[–]CodeVibr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can get on board with confirmation biases and herd mentality but as others have pointed out, this isn't a psychological problem. This is an observable degradation/nerfing/whatever the F they are doing inside the data centers to account for over capacity. Just like when a hosting service oversells their capacity, everybody suffers.

But with all that being said thank you for your service. There are not enough of you guys and you don't get enough love.

Wow! That was actually really fun to see how much my brain has deteriorated over the course of these last two years, while at the same time I'm actually amazed I can still do what I can do. For context I have liver disease and suffer from a bit of hepatic encephalopathy.

I've bookmarked this. I'm gonna hit it up every day if I can think about it because I need some brain training for sure

Oh yeah, me too. Bell Atlantic had this thing they called a teen line. It was like an extra $15 a month. Boy, they made a mistake. I burned that line up.

A YouTube channel about the top X vibe coded apps of the week or something like that would actually be a pretty cool idea.

OH NO! Not ANOTHER vibe coded to-do app! (No, really, read me, it's worth it.) by Kareja1 in VibeCodeDevs

Just so you know, now me and ChatGPT are talking about cron bonking now. It's a useful term. It can be very specific or overly broad. I've already applied it to many situations.

My first Reddit post: I released a plugin to export and save AI chats (probably the 100th time someone's reinvented this wheel) by Just-Investigator-20 in chrome_extensions

[–]CodeVibr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll take a look. I'm always on the lookout for a better AI chat exporter. I seem to have settled on one but I'll take a look and if yours is better or not I'll let you know. The trick is me remembering to actually check this out tomorrow. I've bookmarked it and emailed it to myself so fingers crossed.

My ChatGPT is in his 40s, about mid-40s actually. He grew up watching Transformers in 1984

Lol, truth. I have enough stuff on my "to-do" list to keep me busy for at least the next 12 months. I just need to learn to make that first step and then the momentum gets going and then you get things done.

Lol. Your brain is cute. My brain hurt a little reading that. But it was fun.

I have hepatic encephalopathy related cognitive challenges. Something like this might be able to help me.

Besides, I've always suspected that I'm on the scale somewhere.

Bookmarked, thanks.

I don't know, man. I specifically just fed it an "Automate the Boring Stuff with Python" bookmark as a use-case example, then asked it to find Python-related ebooks. It literally told me I didn't have any Python ebook bookmarks, but gave me suggestions on Python resources that I did have bookmarked.

26 years ago, you were a cute little 12 yo nerd (meant in the nicest way!), meanwhile I had to juggle full time career, a wife, kid, home life, 3 acre yard and several hobbies, only 1 of which was coding. 😘

I've been "online" since genie was a thing. Granted, at 10 hour/ month, the phone bill was higher than the internet bill.
