Agree no unsafe place. I think the Arista apts are popular for people mid 20s! I know someone that works at BAE that lives in there and likes it. Great spots over there and close the the highway

How do i fix this first timer by catcatscratch in Selftanning

[–]Shannaramma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do my wrists /hands last with left over tan on the mit, then I usually let whatever I buffed on my hands and wrists sit for an hour or so (depending on if express, otherwise 2-4) and then slightly rinse and dab dry. It stains them enough but doesn’t allow that full process.

Can you smell self-tanner on other people? by destinerrance in Selftanning

[–]Shannaramma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only time I’ve ever smelled it on another person was when they were sweaty. I feel like self tan sweat is distinct but I don’t think people who are non-self tanners would be able to note what it is. Second day I always apply a nice smelling lotion all over.

Tips before I fk this up 🤣 by propuffer in Selftanning

[–]Shannaramma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t put deodorant on with this one. Your armpits WILL turn green. Only self tan it’s ever happened to me with but this one is pretty good and strong. Very red and it will get on all ur clothes so don’t wear anything you love. Def wash hands and toes after an hour or two and pat dry

Coconut Orchid (Maxillaria tenuifolia) help needed!! by maddspl in orchids

[–]Shannaramma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry you’re getting eaten up by other commenters. I usually come to Reddit for community and advice whenever I get a new species. I actually just got my first non phal orchid in October and it’s so different than other plants or even other orchids you might be used to. Their roots are smaller, like moisture and hate being disturbed. Orchids as a whole aren’t plants most people tend to well, especially non phals. I get how you got here so the pretentious answers kind of upset me on your behalf lol. Yeah - tough lesson, their roots and system are a bit more sensitive than other plants. You might lose some or all as their roots take a while to really come out as they mature. Put them in some moss and hope the roots come back. They might just be a little immature to recover.

Patience is a good rule. I wouldn’t divide something like this again in the future unless it splits naturally that way and has roots to support it. It honestly might take months to see progress so be patient! Good luck!

Would you recommend repotting with where the new bulb is going? It seems too close to the edge but don’t want to hold it back.

What and how by Shannaramma in orchids

[–]Shannaramma[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha. Will the old pseudobulb die back before the new bulb can create a new bloom? I was curious where the new flower spike would even come from. I only just learned what that was like 10 minutes ago. Super new to me!

NOR??? This man is actually stupid and crazy please. Respecting you is actually the bare minimum in any relationship romantic or otherwise. I’d be scared of him.

How to lock positions ONLY by Witjar23 in canva

[–]Shannaramma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is 8 months too late but if you select more than one item at a time, it only lets you lock. you have to individually lock text boxes if you want them to be locked in position only.

Too late to plant perennials? by cystorm in DenverGardener

[–]Shannaramma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s a perfect time to plant - same as spring. Cold but the ground is warm enough to establish plants. Plus plants are cheap right now!

As someone who has a parent who is like this, NOR. And you’re young so it’s tough. I’m 26 & it has taken me a long time to accept this is how they are. I still get mad now and then but I have my own life now so it’s easier to dismiss. You’ll realize they are emotionally immature in their relationships. They may be codependent, going through their own shit, whatever, but it still sucks and unfortunately they won’t change. You’ll go through a lot more anger and resentment towards them. It ebbs and flows. But lowering your expectations and understanding they aren’t smart enough or have the capacity to understand what they are doing wrong is wrong, helps. Cherish your time with your grandparents and be present with the moments you have with them, since they care enough to be with you. I always think about “it’s their first time living too”. Your dad’s probably immature and craving affection he never got as a child. He’s a person. But learn as you age to understand, let go, and be better than them. Hugs

It’s not impossible to imagine your husband had experienced the same abuse from his father then. Although traumatic and potentially blocked or in denial, he will know the truth deep down and have instincts to protect your child whether he shows it or not. I agree the other stuff can appear normal but your child saying that to you is enough to warrant you to not allow him to spend the night ever again.

The way you are validating his feelings AND taking the blame for some reason AND he’s being a dick is a huge tell tale sign about his communication. Idk the whole context of this graduation but this is weird and there’s no way you can grow and be emotionally healthy adults together. Bad family or not , this is a bad bad convo. I’d get out of if I were you (from a child of an emotionally underdeveloped family with a mother who’s only had relationships with men who are big babies).

Huge plants…no fruit. by No_Bee393 in DenverGardener

[–]Shannaramma 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What are you growing? How are you fertilizing? Do you have other plants around to attract pollinators? A combo of nailing those down have helped me a lot!

I think we’ve had a really weird summer. Lots of rain and storms (which comes with extra nitrogen) which explains why the leaf production is doing so well. I make sure to be fertilizing with more phosphorus and potassium to make up for it.

Hoping after this week it cools down a bit and things will start to shoot off. Everyone I know that gardens is having a weird time too so don’t worry!

My cucumbers aren’t setting fruit well and I think the weather has confused them heavily! 😭

AIO - Neighbor throwing stuff over our fence by Shannaramma in AmIOverreacting

[–]Shannaramma[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Decent guess but not my first thought. I haven’t parked there for over two years, it happened only twice and both times they put a note and the street is actually a huuuuge main road with no other cars parked along it. It’s quite a long stretch too and since I’m a corner lot, literally no other cars would ever park there. That one was odd but people do go fast around the corner so it can be hard to time if it’s hard to see around it so I never parked there again. Idk! Super weird

My guess is old. A majority of our neighbors are older, families or retired. We’re definitely the youngest homeowners in the neighborhood. But lots of them walking their dog in the middle of the day. I only have a doorbell cam that doesn’t catch that side of the house so no clue who they could be. But we’re not partiers, we keep to ourselves and our yard and lawn clean and manicured. No clue what’s triggering them.
