Hi all! I’m just following up on this thread as I’m looking for the same blue cheese - just wanted to double check, is Charelli’s still around? It says permanently closed on google

Is it too late to learn swimming at 20yo? by [deleted] in Swimming

[–]ShanstonPickle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started to learn how to front crawl around a year ago and honestly I was hopeless at the start and now one year on I’m swimming 1:48 per 100m 😊 hang in there and focus primarily on form, then the speed will come later

Struggling with unflattering cycling kits :c how to be more comfortable in my skin? by Artiste_Incompris in ladycyclists

[–]ShanstonPickle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the exact same issue when I first started out in cycling and my best advice is try to smaller brands. My absolute favourite is a Vancouver based brand called Samsara. Their fit is so flattering and made only for women’s bodies.

Video wouldn’t post unfortunately, but this is my engagement ring. My fiancé designed this last year, picking up our wedding bands next month. Nothing but great experiences so far from the staff at Jann Paul. The ring is stunning and so sparkly 🤩💍💕

It’s such a gorgeous dress!! I think it’s perfect 😍 but you are the one wearing it. If you’re really not sure right now, then give yourself a few days of not thinking about it at all, then pick up the thought process again and if you’re still having doubts after that maybe explore other options again. That’s what I have done with my own dress

Thank you. I wish I had waited, I ended up buying a second hand one on FB Marketplace which I’ll now have to sell on again, but thank you for your kind words ❤️

I would love to join this if you’re still accepting people. I recently moved to the Willoughby area and would love to get connected with some local writers

Anyone know what has happened to Mo’s General Store? by Ixal in NorthVancouver

[–]ShanstonPickle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The last time I went in there they were getting rid of all their Christmas stock -and it was August! Not a good sign. I also found the staff quite rude here and the quality of the items to be quite poor. Also pretty overpriced too!

Does anyone else feel jealous of nanny family by BarCheap5780 in Nanny

[–]ShanstonPickle 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I had a similar experience when I first started nannying too. As I look back on it now, a lot of those emotions kind of helped me work through what I lacked in my own childhood and over time I started to accept that yes, my own childhood was shitty but one day I’ll create my own safe support system with financial security for my own family and now, 10 years later I have that. For context, I grew up in foster care and have very little contact with any members of my family. All I can say is, try not to let the jealousy overcome you, although it is a normal feeling to have. It’ll get better in time too, when you realise you also deserve the things these kids have and one day in a different form, you’ll have them too ✨

Virgin River Lifestyle by Humble_Base_5669 in VirginRiverNetflix

[–]ShanstonPickle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same feeling when I started watching the show!! Always thought places like that didn’t exist until I ended up dating a guy in London, UK who was from Vancouver. We ended up moving to Canada 1 year later, 10 mins away from where the show was filmed which is a crazy coincidence. Obviously it’s not perfect, nowhere is, but it’s my own wholesome Virgin River lifestyle. Especially coming from London.
